Best "HighEnd" ebike? What determines the price..

I don't think so. My original 2017 Vado weighs 53 lbs. Subsequent models became heavier because of the suspension fork. The latest Vado 5.0 sports a larger battery. I would say, 57 lbs, not less. (I can be wrong).

Ahh ok ty! I must've misread that. Considering the Trek Powerfly FS 9 currently; as a Vado owner do you know how this unit may compare to the Vado for commuting? I'll probably make a post on the specialized forums as well

It really depends on what you want to do with your bike. R&M tend to be heavy like a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.

That is not my cup of tea. I generally like bikes that are lithe and lovely with chromoly frames. These bikes are like dancing with a ballerina and not Brunhilde.

I also like bikes that are opensource, non-proprietary, and do not look electric. But, with optimal feel.

Will you be using your bike for transportation? Do you need to carry things? Will a derailleur get bumped on the train? Is it just a sporting good for you? Soon I will be building custom wheels for a bike and installing a CVT hub that is eBike specific. It will get a brunch bar, leather grips and a Brooks saddle. Royalty and film stars do not have bikes this nice. It is a Public R18 Disc.

Full suspension can cost more on an ebike. Some members already mentioned better components and dealer support after purchase.
I have been getting very good support. I was at the dealer last week for a broken derailleur hanger and they had it in stock the technician gave it to me no charge, I tipped him $20 . Yes you also get better quality batteries as far as motors? it's a matter of preference, my bike has Brose TF motor 90NM since the recent firmware update it feels more torquey and responsive very quite too

What do you think of this electric bike, since you did not comment on the British racing green one. That is a beautiful eBike. Do you like that this red one is curvey and not clunky like store bikes. It outperforms $9400 bikes that are not couture for aficionados, but are mundane run-of-the-mill and off the rack for the vulgar masses. Does it even look 'electirc,' it is. The coffee cup holder is for sipping while passing people on eBikes in spandex.

The owner lives in hilly Sausalito and is an ER nurse in SF with carpal tunnel, hence the coaster brake setup and she commutes across the GG Bridge. She is a true hero. Each bike is created for the rider's needs, in Petaluma, CA with style, panache. Just like a handmade suit that fits its owner. No one in Hollywood has bikes like these which blow past off-the-rack standard clunky eBikes.

I think the Powerfly FS 9 Equipped belongs to the SUV e-bike category. A very nice ride if you ask me.

Battery life, motor performance, with/without accessories etc.. Some of the high-end brands even have dual motors.

This is a bike I purchased on sale for $549. I put mountain rim brakes on it and gravel tires. It is just a practical around town bike but rides like a dream. Upgrading the touch points made a big difference. It is 85Nm. I finished it today and just took it for a test ride.
How are you doing with the war so close? What are you seeing?

My Turbo Vado SL4.0 is just what I needed. I only ride in ECO mode and that I have dialed down from 35% to 25%. It feels just like an ordinary road bike. I think the effort involved is about equal to an unmotorized carbon fiber road bike. But, I could be wrong. I'm 86 and have spent the last 15 years riding recumbents. (Until I got the Specialized.)
