Be sure battery pack is seated

I road my Vado in heavy rain to the bike shop, 15K, with no fenders-- no issue. I am positive these are built to withstand rain, with or without fenders. If Specialized says you can not ride in rain, they would not sell any bikes, at all (not to mention fender sales!).

Very good to know real world situation. Do you have fenders on your bike? I am thinking about a specialized rear rack that would deflect some water from rear tire thus leaving a front fender install.

Yes the Vado comes with fenders - a must in the rain. I do have a trail setup as well which I take the fenders off.
