BBSHD chain ring guard?

My BBSHD, as I suppose all others, came without any chain ring guard/cover. What do people put on their stock BBSHD chain rings - or are chain ring guards a thing of the past?

I can say that I had to make a chain ring guard for my rear IGH.
I suppose one could do the same for a mid motor.
