Best voltage for 36 volt batterys? To keep them over winter?

The nominal voltage of the battery is pretty close to 50% state of charge (SOC), and what I use for winter storage, so that would be 36V and 48V respectively for the two most common batteries, I don't bother checking them over the 4 mpnths. They don't drop much in my cold attached garage..
