Bafang 500W front hub system

Hi, new to the forum here. My wife has a 250W/24V Hilltopper system and would now like more power and range. I am looking at the Bafang front hub 500W/48V package on Amazon. However I see a multitude of display options, but other that a thumbnail image, no indication on what functions are available for each. By chance is there a resource which explains each option?

Any pros/cons/feedback/experience on this package? "Appears" to provide the best bang for the buck (on paper anyway).

I have a SW102 and a DPC18. I like the remote keypad of the DPC18 as it is easy to tap up and down through the PAS levels on demand. Overall, I prefer the SW102 for its compact size.

Both displays are difficult to see in direct sunlight, but otherwise well illuminated.

I have the 860c of which I am very happy with.
I prefer the over the stem mount with center line of site and minimal handlebar real-estate used.
As with Stan, I like the remote keypad as well.
No problem at all with direct sunlight, even wearing polarized sunglasses

We have three - all rear hubs. Two 500W and one 250W. One has close to 4000 miles ridden. At 45 newton meters these motors (SWX02/G020.500) are well suited for level ground with some elevation change, but not so good at long hill climbs as they can get bogged down and will overheat at low speeds.

The 500W pedal assist level 1 will propel the rider to 8 miles per hour. Level 2 to 12-13 mph. Level 3 - 19 mph. For some riders, that is too much boost at level 1.

Also, 500W is a lot of power on the front wheel and could be prone to spin-outs.

Our kits have been very reliable and problem free.

Are the hub controllers programmable as the Bafang mid_drives are?

I believe that they all display the same basic bike computer info with the addition of battery status.
Your best bet is to narrow down what you want as far as footprint and then try and track down owners manuals.
I believe at one point that I had tracked down a few of the the larger color display ones if that helps you.

As to addressing your riding needs... If your bike is compatible... Mid_drive.

The controllers bundled with the Bluenergy kits are not programmable (as far as I know). I have tried with the usb cable and Egg Rider. The Egg Rider console did provide some feedback but wasn't usable as a display and I couldn't change anything.

I think that could be another reason to go mid_drive if possible.
I liked my mid_drive when I got it. . I love it now that I was able to tweak it to my needs via the programming.

This thread is how I found this forum. It's almost a month old but figured it was the best place to ask about these displays. Ready to build my first ebike using my trusty Trek 7100. Been going down the Grin rabbit hole and mostly decided to just go the Bafang front hub route. But, like LSaupe, I couldn't find anything on the differences for the displays than the "check mark chart" (thanks Gionnirocket for including the images here). Most have the same specs. So is it all about how you want to mount it and the aesthetics/size? Thanks!

I have every Bafang specific display. I still use my simple C961 on two bikes. I go riding not screen viewing.
