A shout-out to Axa Bike/Security. I wrote them and asked about a new bottom bracket for this light. They're sent me a new one, gratis.
The new Blue Line 30 they sent is like the photo below on the right. The wiring hook-up is completely different on the new light--there's a small plastic plug-in on the end of the two wires. Rather than cutting and splicing wires the easiest solution was to take the metal base from the new light and put it on the existing light. It mounted up fine and everything is working.
