Anyone using this for lights ?

Saw comments in the thread about the city kit regarding lights. Is anyone using the connectors described here ((Link Removed - No Longer Exists)) to wire up lights. I've got a B&M Ixon IQ that would take that 6V feed, just wondering if anyone has given it a shot?

We've wired plenty of them up before. Just make sure the light you're speaking of accepts DC not AC, most lights are built to take Dynamo power although there are an increasing number of e-bike specific lights coming available.

Overall I'm lead to believe based on the B&M website that you might have some trouble with that light, as it's really made to accept a charger, which operates very differently than this standard 6v lead.

I would recommend the B&M Lumotec Fly E, it's made for ebikes and works quite well. Let me know if I can assist further, or if you need any lights, we have several styles and are constantly getting more.

thanks Chris, I will look into that other B&M light. I really like the Ixon IQ that I've got, but I was already thinking of adding either a second or a more powerful model from the B&M line because the Dash is fast enough that outrunning my light is now an issue. Maybe getting a new light to wire to the Dash and then using my existing IQ as a secondary/backup would be the ideal setup.
