Anyone tried this brand from Denmark? I ordered my wife a STROM City W

I recently used the Indiegogo crowd fund site to order my wife a STROM City W. Any thoughts about this brand or this version? What about any success or horror stories of using crowd funding for e-bikes?

Well indiegogo has a good reputation and seems to me they don't take many chances with it. As to your brand I got nada. Looks like a pretty nice bike though. When did they say you might get it?

I’m kinda surprised that it‘s a front wheel hub configuration and not a rear wheel hub motor. Why would they do this? Cost?

Rides better IMHO. I've tried both, I like the motor on the front. But it doesn't freeze often in Denmark, they are out at sea. Front wheel pull on ice could dump you in an instant. Tort lawyer bait. I disinstall my battery 12/15 to 3/1 and store it under a heat pad. Pedal power those months.

Not many cold weather issues in Houston, but good info. I’ll keep everyone posted with pics once it arrives. I did add the optional basket with integrated light that is pretty slick plus the suspension front forks, hydraulic brakes and upgraded display, plus the larger battery- five more amps for $80...a steal

Looks like they're using an IGH on the rear wheel. Elegant, clean design, looks nice.

just get the 350 watt option, 250watt is a toy unless your very light.

That is the bike and yes it is a three speed IGH in the rear with the motor in the front. Nice deals for this bike on Indiegogo with big savings. Read the updates for the current status and issues with shipping that may cause some time creep.
