Looks like the first batches have shipped in the last few weeks. I ordered one but it won't ship until late July. I'm curious what your first impressions have been. Thanks!
I'm jealous! The AR website says next batch is shipping 7/31. I'm hoping I get lucky and it gets here earlier, but I know that isn't all that likely to happen. When did you order yours? Did you have any issues with shipping or setup? Based on the comments in the FB group, it seems most are fine, but a handful have been unlucky. (It looks like AR is doing their best to resolve those issues).I have one. I received last week and I am loving it. You can ask me.
Thanks for responding! Are you seeing 25-28 mph top speed? Sounds like the 30+mph listed on the website is a bit of a stretch, although I understand there are a lot of variables that impact top speed. How about the battery? Decent range?I am buying a gel padded seat cover as I don't like firm saddles. Other than that you can invest in mirrors and nice helmet.
I didn't have any issues but yeah some people's bikes are damaged during transportation. I read all those damaged parts are being changed for free. I was lucky enough not to encounter any of those. But I am sure they will improve some of those issues. There is always risk and benefit of ordering first batch of any product.
Assembly was pretty easy but tools they send with the bike are very low quality. So you can use them only to assemble and then throw away. If you don't have some hand tools better buy some simple swiss knife type of bicycle tool. I carry mine with myself incase I need to use it when riding it.
I bought two for my 15 yr old sons. I've had a lot of issues. The headlights fell off (they are sending out new ones to every x-class owner...guess quality control issue) and both are reporting that the throttles just randomly stop working. I've reached out a couple times and still waiting for a resolution but wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this. Nowhere for me to take it as I'm in NC. Should have thought about this before buying.I have one. I received last week and I am loving it. You can ask me.
Figured I'd update my post. My X-Class finally came after months of delays. (Ordered late May, and the bike arrived 9/18). I put on about 50 miles the first weekend and I have to say this bike is really really fun! I can't blame Ariel Rider for the delays as just about every manufacturer is facing similar problems. I do wish they improved their communication though.
This is my first e-bike so I can't compare it to anything else, but I would highly recommend it to anyone. All my family/friends that have ridden it agree it is really fun!
