I just heard that many Yamaha e-bike dealers in the northeast and southeast are selling 20 to 30 ebikes per month since July ? Anyone can confirm that ?

Any one on this board bought a Yamaha ebike yet ? Would love to hear your perspective.

Mike as an ebike dealer I would have thought you'd have all the information about this. If you don't know, how is it possible anyone else here would know?

I guess it just goes to show we shouldn't assume too much.

I checked out the Yamaha website and their road ebike is interesting to me. Ultimately though, I think I'm willing to take less power to get a lighter road ebike that rides more like a regular bike. Just not sure I want to pay some of the prices I've seen. In that regard the Yamaha is more attractive.

It seems weird that Yamaha would compete with companies that use Yamaha drives. I think this situation has to be an either-or. Yamaha certainly has lots of experience in building motorbikes, so if it decided to incorporate a Niken-style dual front wheel suspension, then this would make sense. But competing with integrators like Haibike... I'm not sure what purpose this serves.

I think they are nice looking bikes.. Middle of the road components, no full suspension mtb bike........ yet.... New dealer opening an hour from me so I might go w/ that brand.. I'm guessing the full suspension mtb will be in the lineup next year
