I'm new to the forum; and looking for posts thread on road ebike discussions ? I'm thinking of getting an Orbea Gain D30 or an M30 Road ebike. or possibly a Scott eRide 30. Any feedback appreciated Thanks M

Funny, I was just getting ready to offer you up, Rab, as one of the big road guys around here.

There is also a lot of road specific - though Creo focused - content in the various Specialized sections. Lots of Creo owners in the joint, self included. Big fan.

If winter ever ends, the various ride report threads, my personal favorites, usually have lots of road adventures here and there also.

Try the Orbea section!

Thanks Rab, appreciated

Cheers Dave, the Creo is a heavier mid drive, and restricted to 15.5 MPH in the UK so when I'm out in the group; we bomb along on the flat at 25 + mph the drag on a mid drive would probably hold me back, that's why I was looking at Orbea or Scott in the UK

There is no drag of the Specialized SL motor (think about it in the terms of an urban legend). It is just you are assisted below and then you are not assisted above 15.5 mph.

It is hard for me to compare the weight of Scott or Orbea to the one of Creo SL, especially as the weight greatly depends on the version of Creo, and Creo can be really expensive. We also talk about different battery capacity between different systems.

Good luck with your quest!
