Any RadMini people out there

1) Has anyone tried to put the Yepp Child Seat on the 2017 or 2018 RadMini? (The Rad FAQ site says the bike wasn't designed for passengers, but the rear rack looks like a close fit for the child seat).

2) Is there anyone in the DC metro area with a '17 or '18 RadMini? The Velofix in our area doesn't carry the Mini and I am curious to check out the bike in person, before seriously thinking about purchasing.

Thanks,

If Rad says it was not designed for passengers, I would contact them for clarification; would the bike still be under warranty should you install one?

I just received a response from Rad. They said the FAQ is referring to adults riding on the rack. The rep said the Yepp seat will definitely fit in the rear rack of the RadMini- Great news.

Anyone in the DC metro area have a RadMini, or RadRover I may be able to check out?

Thanks Nick. Ran a 4 mile errand today and I think the brakes are settling in, the rear is pulsing less and it's starting to feel better. Yesterday after the 6 mile ride I charged with it plugged into a kill-a-watt meter and based on what was put back in, looking like at at least a 24 mile range with a fair amount of hills, including a mile long moderate hill, and lots of throttle only. I'm finding I mostly pedal when starting and when climbing a steep hill. Still only about 12 miles total on the bike, so I am hoping the controller holds up. Hope your replacement arrives and you're back on the road soon. I'm looking forward to a longer ride, hopefully this weekend.

Interested in any cargo bag options people are using with this bike. I have touring panniers but they will only fit with some messing around because the hooks are too small, and I'm looking for some dedicated bags for this bike.

Marcus
Any luck finding some dedicated bags for your mini? I was hoping someone knew of a good basket for the front rack also.

Any radmini owner with a good product for the front rack? I'm hoping to find a basket I can attach and then place a bag inside. Let me know if you have any ideas.

I saw Minnesota Jeff had his pannier installed but unsure if he’s still on the forum. His picture is on page 11

Potomac close enough for you. 7 locks and river..... I could meet you at the fire station... I have a mini, 400 miles old.

I hit the 500 mile mark today. Probably 40% of the riding was off pavement. No problems with the bike. The only adjustments were to the brakes and the derailleur. I do have a cheap suspension post and replaced the pedals with MTB flats with the studs.
