First of all, thank you so much for your exciting video! Especially, the first (informational) part was really really good! (The night ride video was not for me). I appreciate your slow, distinctive narration allowing me (a person for who English is only the second language) fully understand what you were saying.
I would say you were not riding a Trek Rail 9.9! You rode "The Richie's E-Bike"!
The number of modifications you made to your already awesome Rail was overwhelming! I think Trek could learn a lot from you!
It was not clear to me why you actually derestricted your e-bike. You said you didn't want the "wall effect" on descents. My understanding is all bikes that belong to the "Downhill" category are unpowered, as the gravity does the job for DH riders (in other words, it is hard to find any Downhill rated e-MTB; e-MTBs end at the Enduro/All Mountain category). I respect your choice and am only surprised you needed any assistance on descents!
