A2B Velociti

Hello,
I have an A2B Velociti. I was told it needs a battery and tune up.
I do not have a battery pack..2 things,
I would like to test the motor, to make sure it works before buying a battery. Batteries are around 800.00 dollars to replace.

Does anyone have an idea for replacement, that is not so expensive?

@SF TERRY, just to confirm, you are looking for the rear mounted battery pack? And yes, some of the earlier A2B's had motor issues so test. Yes, you can get some type of aftermarket battery; however, the A2B's have a very special connector so you would need someone with very good electronic skills to modify the current wiring harness. Not a cheap prospect, nothing is going to mate with their OEM rear rack (I'm an A2B dealer, so some experience here :))

Why doesn't the original owner have that pack; it could've been rebuilt instead of replaced. Just curious. Doesn't really sound like an ideal deal, even though those bikes have a very unique frame design.

Thank you and for the response. The velociti a2b was free. Mint shape.
Owner had not used bike for awhile..
He was not sure where he placed the baterry cell.
I have attached photo.

Really difficult to find replacement battery ( 36v 13.2ah 450w).

Would enjoy restoring to original.
I am not goung to rush into anything.
Have found an a2b dealer, willing to test motor for me..

Love A2b's..new fan.

There appears to be rusty steel and corrosion in that photo, the bike must have been stored out in the weather. Electronics don't like moisture. Have the dealer check the motor, controller, wiring continuity and switches.

Dealer tested motor, work great. All cables and gears are fine. Could get battery at A2B for 799. I have now.placed bike up for sale. Just found.out that i am having.a third hand surgery. Medical cost have priority.
