If you want a bike with a fairly conventional geometry but can hold a light passenger, this seems like a pretty killer choice. Was never in the market for such a bike, but off-hand this one seems a lot better than all those other 'light cargo' bikes I've seen. The seat and footpeg kit look pretty robust. Maybe you could find a cross bar that goes under the front saddle?

Here's the passenger kit: https://ride1up.com/product/passenger-kit/

It reminds me a lot of my Ride1Up 700, but it's got 3" wide tires instead of 2.3", so being 3 extra pounds isn't surprising at all. Those wide tires might be nice on some of these rough rural Illinois roads I ride on, but I'll stick with my 700. There's some third party review of the bike here:

Looks solid and the value's there, but when they say "Install our passenger kit and add a passenger on the back while cruising around your town," they should add "300 lb total weight capacity." It's in the "Dimensions and Sizing" section below the component specs, but that's pretty low for a "passenger" bike IMO...

Good point. The rack has a 130 lb limit. 83% of adult women in the US are over that, and 97% of adult men. Source.

That isn't a review. They just described the bike using what's on the brand website.

Hi, I have the Cafe Cruiser and it's great right outta the box.
Still awaiting the passenger kit though...
However, I'm not a fan of the "beach cruiser" handlebars.
Has anyone made a switch? I'm pretty sure the center is 25.4", but not sure if all the bars available will fit the brake, shift, levers and display. Anyone know if they are all a standard size? or what?
Thanks!
