700 "How to ride question"

Have never sat on an eBike. My 700 is scheduled to ship Sep 15. Hope GenX will come to my reacue and explain peddle assist (PA) I don't want to ride at 20mph. Thru an RV Park with 10mph speed limits. Example: PA @ level 3. Start peddling. Will the speed get to 20? Does PA , in all levels, take you to 20 no matter if you are slowly rotating? Quit peddling and use throttle only? Next-I'm riding on a level street and want to go 20. All PA levels top out at 20? Why all the PA levels? Is level 9 used to ride at max speed? With the most amount of PA?

First, do not peddle or do any peddling in an RV park. They will likely frown upon that. Be sure to pedal, instead.

As I mentioned in the other thread, the assist levels aren't based on some 20 mph speed limit. You must have missed this post:

Also see this post, which applies to the new 700's as well as the 500 mentioned.

The 0-9 setting is great since 1= 10% and under 10kmh the motor is very silent or not on it's almost like 0. On bike paths that's the best but if on city streets or countryside with hills I like to use the 0-5.
