Hi all. I have been looking at a Felt outfitter as a hunting - fishing - trail bike . I came across the Surface 604 Boar on the net . Will the rear hub motor hold up to hard trail use ? thank you

Who knows? Buy one and tell us! I can tell you that's a lot of weight. That the bike itself is up to hard trail use with that much weight would be my first concern. JMO

@Rick Ingraham there's a little more to worry about when it comes to using a rear hub on a trail. I think the main concern deals with maintenance and changing a flat. Mid drive = standard tube change process without having to negotiate your way with a 10lb hub.

Hubs should generally be ok with light trail work (even hard packed surfaces).
