I just skimmed through this:

The Charger is looking good and retains the most traditional bike lines.

I’ve got a 2021 SuperCharger 2 … no sign of that being upgraded!!?

Some of these bikes are really “out there” in terms of design look and feel!

Ant that stand out guys?

supercharger is out cause no dual battery setup for BES3 and RE for Bosch. demand was also not that big to retain an extra sku.

Man I love that pop-up tent for the rear rack carrier!!! R&M has some creative designs. Love it!

I really don’t like the charge port being on the top tube. It’s even worse seems like a terrible location especially if you have a RE.

Ahh ok that makes sense.
My dad's new Multicharger Mixte HS Rohloff arrives next month I think so I'll be keen to take that for a spin and compare/contrast with my SC2!

He's right. The latest Super Delite uses a PowerTube 800 along with a frame mounted CompactTube 400. I have not seen any other manufacturer do any BES3 dual battery system without a range extender.

Correct, did see that one. a few old colleagues of me are sales reps at R&M, they told me that the supercharger was out due to no dual batt support on bes3 (which also is the case for our bikes which came with dual batteries prior to bes3) and that they had to rely on an RE for more Wh. BES3 does not support dual Batt at this moment (although you can daisy chain the battery docks... so they is some intend there) might be that since R&M are closer to Bosch that they closer to the fire and alleady have a kit which supports the dual batt? Officially it doesn't at this moment.

I'm thinking that R&M pushed Bosch to replicate the dual battery capability of the BES2 into the BES3. BES2 had a matrix of battery combinations that a bike designer could use (PowerTube, PowerPack, PowerRack) at release, and that the end user could have a shop convert to. We know from BES2 that adding a second battery is mainly mounting hardware, designed by the bike manufacturer, and both wiring and firmware designed by Bosch. All those options meant a lot of part numbers, when you consider wiring length options. My guess is that Bosch took the opportunity with BES3 to offer a single dual battery option via the RE, and R&M said NFW bro, give us the options back. Say what you want about R&M, but they are a premium brand that offers unique designs that others do not.

Oh really :) The "S" brand had the RE already in 2019 :)
The main issue of R&M is they are mainly dependent on Bosch although the brand also tries its luck with Pinion MGU.
