I just skimmed through this:

The Charger is looking good and retains the most traditional bike lines.

I’ve got a 2021 SuperCharger 2 … no sign of that being upgraded!!?

Some of these bikes are really “out there” in terms of design look and feel!

Ant that stand out guys?

I really don’t like the charge port being on the top tube. It’s even worse seems like a terrible location especially if you have a RE.

Sorry, what does BES3 & RE mean in this context ?

BES3 = smart system/ Gen5. BES3 has a RangeExtender option

Ahh ok that makes sense.
My dad's new Multicharger Mixte HS Rohloff arrives next month I think so I'll be keen to take that for a spin and compare/contrast with my SC2!

I'd like to understand the reasoning, especially since the latest Super Delite 5 with Bosch smart system has dual batteries.

He's right. The latest Super Delite uses a PowerTube 800 along with a frame mounted CompactTube 400. I have not seen any other manufacturer do any BES3 dual battery system without a range extender.
