2 quick rain questions for Scorpion owners.

I'm considering getting a Scorpion and wan't to know. 1) If I remove the battery to charge it and the bike is outside in the rain, how do you keep the lower plug port for the battery dry? For my current RadRunner I have a plastic cover that snaps over the lower plug port from etsy, that works perfect. 2) Have any of you been caught in serious rain while riding? Has the battery on/off switch ever been affected? I've been caught in the rain many times on the 'Runner and have never had an issue. And I have my snazzy etsy plug to keep water outta my plug port while the battery is inside charging. Any input appreciated.
