Replacing seat post & saddle on Vado SL

Thanks Stefan. The post is a two post one but set up parallel to top tube not the opposite as the stock one. Will make no difference as to attaching the saddle. There is no opening on it but there is a thin plate which looks like it could be drilled with a small bit & not cause any problems in...

Replacing seat post & saddle on Vado SL

I’d like to swap out my wife’s stock saddle & post on her Vado SL. I have a new Specialized mirror that I bought on sale & carbon post but would like to be able to use the stock red rear light. I’m wondering if anyone has managed to reuse the wiring & light. The Specialized saddles have a place...

Pedego Avenue or Specialized Turbo Vado SL 4.0.

Thanks Indiana! I’m about to turn 72 myself but even though we do take the bikes to trails the 53lbs of the Pedego is not that big a deal to put on my Thule rack. We live in Florida so the cooling issue won’t be a problem.

Pedego Avenue or Specialized Turbo Vado SL 4.0.

I’m looking for a bike for my wife and I have familiarized myself with all the specifications of my 2 choices. I personally I’m a bike nerd and long time rider and I currently own four bikes including a Colnago C64 and a Specialized Creo ebike. My wife is way more casual and not as “into” bikes...

Support level question on Pedego bikes.

Gizmo thanks so much for the description of your experience with the boost, really helps a lot.

Support level question on Pedego bikes.

Thanks so much, great help! My Creo is very adjustable through their app and has 3 torque/cadence levels that can be modified from the default and a max support for each level that can also be changed from the defaul. The Pedego is way easier for my wife, I’ve tried to explain what I do & she...

Support level question on Pedego bikes.

I already own a Specialized Creo but I’m interested in a Pedego Avenue for my more casual rider wife. In looking at video reviews of the 5 pedal assist support levels there was an implication that level 1 for example would top out at say 10mph and on up to level 5 for the max of 20mph. In other...

Problem after turbo remote install on Creo

Thanks! I‘m pretty sure they were tested prior to wrapping but I’m going to double check on it, really appreciate the feedback.

Problem after turbo remote install on Creo

The latest is that problems to my remote button install continues. The original non working buttons were replaced by a new set from Specialized, however, the new set also failed so now a new center TCU is being sent as that would appear to be the problem. If all works then I’ll have to re synch...

Sorry - question about support level

Thanks mschwett & Stefan! I clearly didn’t know what I was looking at. I guess I need the BLEvo app to really tell me about my watts vs the bike’s. I have a Creo btw.

Sorry - question about support level

Great job Stefan! Now if you have recuperated from that effort I have another stupid question re: support & watts. On the Mission Control app under “my rides” it shows among other things “total consumption“ in watts, or what I assume is watts. It will read something like: “110.00wh”. Does that...

Sorry - question about support level

Thanks for that explanation Stefan, I’ve had trouble understanding the difference between support & max power as well. It makes more sense now.

Creo SL Comp upgrade to Carbon wheelset

I’d consider any reasonable offer, but not sure where I’d have to ship it, I live in Florida.

Creo SL Comp upgrade to Carbon wheelset

I used the one from the stock wheels since the speed magnet was on back order. I’ve since decided to stick with one set since I’m not really into gravel, I like smooth roads. I’d like to sell the stock wheels but I’m not sure who could use a boost wheelset.

Problem after turbo remote install on Creo

Mine were installed under the bar tape, the actual ability to find & click on the button wasn’t a problem once I knew where to push. I do like the clean look under the tape but that may differ with someone else.

Problem after turbo remote install on Creo

Just to wrap up this thread, it turned out that my road remote was defective & Specialized sent a new set to my LBS.

    Creo makeover

Quick update on my Creo makeover. I’m definitely following mschwett lead, very helpful thanks. My Ultegra 8000 medium cage works flawlessly with the 11-32 cassette, so a winner there for sure. My road remote buttons failed after the first ride, I could turn on the bike and fortunately I’d set...

Problem after turbo remote install on Creo

Thanks for the info. I’m definitely going to take it in to my shop this week & I’ll report back in case it may help someone else.

Problem after turbo remote install on Creo

After install of the turbo remote buttons on my Creo carbon at my LBS (Specialized dealer) it’s developed a problem. All functioned as designed during first two rides but on my third ride this is what is now happening: I can turn on the bike using the original top tube button, however I cannot...

    Creo makeover

Great info as usual mschwett! I’ll let you know when I swap the rear mech, I think a Dura Ace would do quite nicely with my 11-32 Ultegra. My wrench remarked as to the huge weight difference in the Roval rear wheel with the Ultegra compared to the stock wheel with big Sun Race lol, that alone is...
