Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I have the 5.0 and added a Kinet body float seat post. Plush is all I can say. My sense is that future shock does a pretty good job taking the road buzz out of the bike but won’t eliminate all of it. I run the lowest tire pressure I can but am using Schwalbe Marathons which are pretty stiff...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Wahoo Auto Pause Work Around I have been using Wahoo Bolt on both my Vado SL 5.0 and my Roubaix. I really like that the Wahoo displayed all the data for the E-bike but it would not auto pause like it does when used on my Roubaix. I contacted Wahoo as was told it was a "known issue". Ok...

Specialized Creo (all models) - Longest Rides/Biggest Climbs

My longest is 62 miles on a paved trail , 1500 ft Climbing and 62% of battery consumed. I have gotten a bit stronger since this ride now averaging about 200 watts on my best days so I think I could do this with even less battery now. Vado SL 5.0. As you get a little stronger the range becomes...

Vado SL 5.0 -- reasonable range on hills? (Mt. Diablo, CA)

Agreed. We have used it to plan routes when we travel and also just look at rides in a new area assuming the the folks who live there already know where we should be riding. I ride with a group that uses it for group routes and we have often shared routes with friends who are looking for new...

Vado SL 5.0 -- reasonable range on hills? (Mt. Diablo, CA)

I’m not sure why but sometimes RIDE includes all the motor and rider power data and sometimes it doesn’t. When is does there seems to be a wealth of k formation regarding e-bike parameters so I think the app is useful for e bike rides as well as acoustic. Often it seems to record two versions...

Vado SL 5.0 -- reasonable range on hills? (Mt. Diablo, CA)

Im not sure Stephan. I can't remember how I discovered it, I know it was on one of the forums somewhere. It seems to work fine on my Vado SL 5.0. I haven't compared the results from RIDE and Mission Control but they seem pretty close. Here are data from a ride couple of days ago. I just...

Vado SL 5.0 -- reasonable range on hills? (Mt. Diablo, CA)

I don't use BLEVO so I can't comment. The elevation numbers vary wildly from Ride With GPS, which I tend to think is more accurate. Since I am only competing with myself the absolute accuracy of any of this is less important to me than having an apples to apples way to compare one ride to the...

Vado SL 5.0 -- reasonable range on hills? (Mt. Diablo, CA)

Hi John it’s a Specialized app called RIDE. I can’t remember how I found it but it’s available on the App Store and it does provide some additional information that Mission Control doesn’t. I take it all with a grain of salt but I have enjoyed the extra info about power and battery usage.

Vado SL 5.0 -- reasonable range on hills? (Mt. Diablo, CA)

I am not as technical as some but have had good results with a 5.0 SL gradually lowering the assist levels using the Mission Control App. Stephan is an expert here but the net result for me, as I have slowly become a bit stronger is no range anxiety thanks to less demand on the battery. Most...

Why did you buy a Riese & Müller?

The SuperDelight is my 3rd e-bike. It was a 70th birthday splurge. Previous bikes, Yubo El Boda Boda with Bionic hub motor, Haibike Trekking with Yahama drive. This Aril I added a Specialized Turbo Vado SL 5.0. The SuperDelight seemed soooo expensive that I was skeptical but I had so much...
