A similar thing happened here. A well established, multi location, privately owned Specialized bike shop was purchased by Trek. I’m sure the owner was offered a price that was too good to refuse.

I have the Stamp 1 and they are great. I went with the large even though I only have a size 9.5 foot but the larger platform makes it easier to find the sweet spot.

Frame size may also be a factor. I believe on the SL 5 non EQ only L and XL frames have the extra mounts.

The Vado SL 5.0 has a carbon fork that may be the reason for not having the hole.

Congrats on your 2k achievement. Your pic reminds me that mine really needs a bath. I have Crank Bros Stamp 1 pedals and they have been very good with my non-cycling Merrells.

I think if kahn hits the plug with a heel a kickstand would not be a good idea

Just looked at my Vado SL and saw the thru holes. You are correct screws and bolts would do the trick, best option would be nylon screws.

You could always just get two screws for the empty holes.

The least expensive, the Levo SL Comp, is listed at $7k on the US website does have an aluminum frame.
