Has anyone used Garmin Edge 130 with a Giant e-bike with RideControl One remote?

This is the device I'd like to purchase. https://g.factoryoutletstore.com/details/1028559/garmin-edge130.html?category_id=1665&catalogitemid=945268

Has anyone used Garmin Edge 130 with a Giant e-bike with RideControl One remote?

OK, I'm new to all this ANT+ stuff. I have a 2020 Trance E. Yesterday, I rode with a buddy who bought a 2021 and he had a Garmin unit that displayed battery life. Personally, I don't like displays because I crash way too much but I'd love to know battery life on a granular level (as reported...

ANOTHER RELUCTANT CONVERT... BUT NOT REALLY (LOL)

https://www.pinkbike.com/video/545779/ Video is blurry because I clipped it from a private FB group page (that's me at a known local spot).

Last time I measured, it was about 53 lbs. I can tell you that you don't feel that weight on the descents, especially when the trails get rowdy. You'll only feel it on tight trails. Jumps pretty good too!

? You don't think it looks like an ebike? =P

One year later and this entry level bike is anything but (RS Lyrik Ultimate fork at 170mm, Fox Float X2 at 185X55, Shimano Zee brakes, SRAM X01 drivetrain, Maxxis Minion DHF HRII tires, Magura MDP front rotor). This bike is killin' it! Bike in action:

ANOTHER RELUCTANT CONVERT... BUT NOT REALLY (LOL)

I'm not sure. The BB height (or distance to ground) is not part of the geo spec. So I've swapped out the headset for an angleset, and in theory, a 1.5 deg HA change is about a 2.5mm drop in BB height but the angleset I installed had an external cup and my fork is 10mm longer so I should...

The Fox 36 a good fork... even with Grip 1. You can even change the travel... I think 160mm front is about right.

ANOTHER RELUCTANT CONVERT... BUT NOT REALLY (LOL)

Well, I'm starting to see some of the limits on this bike. First, the bottom bracket (okay, then bash plate) is low and prone to strikes. I've cracked mine already and crushed the speed sensor wires on the back (it's all good now). I've also reached the performance limits of the Tektro...

I believe it does. It's a beautiful bike.... deserving of its price for sure. =)

Low BB (bashed skid plate, crushed wires)

I believe there's a high point on the motor mold that pinched the wires against the plate. I routed everything so the wires aren't in the same place again... in fact, all the wires are tucked away now. I even added padding on the repaired plate so 1) things don't move and 2) hopefully quiets...

Low BB (bashed skid plate, crushed wires)

The skid plate case of my Trance toiok a big hit this morning and I got an error from the computer. I limped back home and opened it up and found some crushed wires (going to the chainstay and into where the rotor is which I would assume is the speed sensor). Anyway, I mended it up and now the...

Ha! We could have traded and it would have been good for both of us... well, that's if you were looking for a small. After I made the fork and geometry change, this thing became a monster. Anna, what fork does your bike have? If it's the Gold RL, I STRONGLY recommend you switch it out. =)...

ANOTHER RELUCTANT CONVERT... BUT NOT REALLY (LOL)

Holy s*it... this bike is amaze-ballz! I was doing some suspension tuning at a local downhill run and man, did this thing shred! It even jumped predictably and descended playfully despite being longer than my other bikes! It was already good with the 66.5 deg HTA but at 65, it's just freakin'...

On a positive note, I got a new charger. Going to do fine tuning of the suspension today. =)

I can't speak for the Suntour fork. Is this your bike? https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/stance-eplus-2-power Spec components look pretty decent for that price point. Looks like you can also increase travel to 140mm (internal adjust). I can only speak from personal experience but the fork...

ANOTHER RELUCTANT CONVERT... BUT NOT REALLY (LOL)

Hi Stefan... I already knew the fork would be sub-par but was shocked (pun intended) that it performed worse than my low expectations. The comparable Trance model of the Liv I got also specs the Gold RL fork. https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/trance-eplus-3-pro

Nomad... what e-bike did you get and what kind of fork are you changing out? I'm really not finicky when it comes to suspension. My DH bike has crap Gen 1 World Cup forks but I just set it to soft so it feels plusher. But this RL Gold is by far the worst feeling fork I've ever tried even...

ANOTHER RELUCTANT CONVERT... BUT NOT REALLY (LOL)

So it's supposed to be gender-specific for women (Liv) but honestly, I can't tell the difference. Frankly, I rode my acoustic bike a couple of days ago and found how uncomfortable that saddle was initially (WTB Silverado) when I've been riding that bike all year compared to this new e-bike...
