Aliexpress, you son of a ...!

I also received and installed an NCX seatpost from the Silk Road camel train last week. It took longer than 2 weeks but it was all good, and I wasn't in a big hurry. It even came with the nice little mechanical linkage dust cover. I do find it a bit curious that it's a name brand product and...

Voltbike Yukon 750 - Convince me

Charge time is something that wasn't even on my radar when shopping eBikes, but after living with the annoying 6-7 hr RR recharge time, but it sure is now. In spite of having 25% more battery capacity, the VB Yukon has a 4 hr. max charge time. Even Voltbike doesn't trumpet this enough. I've...

Voltbike Yukon 750 - Convince me

I'm guessing that you're in Canada, as am I, because you mentioned the ridiculous Canadian 500 watt limit. I have a RadRover but i convinced my buddy to buy a Voltbike Yukon 750. Head to head, the Voltbike wins, hands down. They are similar in construction, quality, and price, meaning that...

    RADPower in Canada

Yes, and so far, so good. I'll probably end up doing the motor upgrade as well. So far, the stock motor is handling it, but it could also become a spare.

    RADPower in Canada

I'm on the far east coast of Canada, bought a used 2018 RadRover a little more than a year ago, and have been able to easily manage the maintenance. My local bike shop replaced the bottom bracket cartridge. I've upgraded the controller & display myself, changed the freewheel, installed and...

    RadRover 5 Power

Well, that ends my theory. I was able to pull around 745 watts max with that controller. I'm occasionally seeing over 1300 watts with the upgrade controller. I've travelled about 900 kms with the new controller, with no issues, but I'm mostly on PAS 1, 2, or 3 with an occasional visit to 4 or 5...

    RadRover 5 Power

I suspect that the Canadian and American RadRovers have the same motor and different controllers, but I don't know this with any certainty. Here is the backside of the original controller from my 2018 Canadian model.

Sold my motorcycle. Waiting for my ebike to arrive

I have a 45+ year history with motorcycles, with a lot of touring. I've been on and off with bicycles since childhood, bought a RadRover a little more than a year ago, and I recently resurrected my 30 year old, dusty, mothballed Bonelli mountain bike that hasn't been ridden regularly in 15...

How cycling can keep you young

When I was a kid we had a neighbor in his sixties who used to regularly cycle past our house on an old school single speed bike. I remember thinking, "man, that guy is old to be riding a bicycle". He pedaled into his nineties and died at 101. :)

    Rad mini upgrade

Here is a manual for the KT-LCD8H display …………. not the crappy 2 page instruction sheet that comes with it, but a full 41 page manual. I set mine up using this and I have it all working the way I want, with options for future experimentation.
