I've had the chain-jam once and once only with only fingers to fix it. I'll vouch that nothing can jam a chain so F@#$%$G badly as a Bafang Ultra, my best advice is don't let it happen and second-best carry paper towels and a tool of choice to aid pulling it back out... 🥳

You might want to consider a BBSHD, almost the same performance and can be installed by yourself on almost any bike and can be moved from one bike to another. Ultra needs a custom frame built to have only that motor. Depends where you live. Ultra wins hands-down over anything in the torque...

FYI besides having the water-brakes now my Ultra motor is cutting-out, making weird not-good grinding noises and doing strange things, sounds like a gear is loose inside it. Since I can't fix it myself and Rize won't be helpful I'm probably looking at a large bill just to keep my new bike...

No-question, if you're in the market for a mid-drive the Ultra is the way to go, stock is monster on hills which is why I have one, roughly 2 horsepower at present, easy-enough to boost that to 4 which is crazy on a bicycle with gears... 🤗

I've just put 150 kilometers and I see substantial wear on the teeth of #9 and 8 even-with being careful, not a big deal as I knew what I had, lot's of fun though along the way 🤗
