SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

Some of the advantages that I'm aware of include a much larger choice of gear ranges and the ability to replace individual gears as they wear. A freewheel set up uses a different hub than a cassette set up and cannot be adapted one to the other. Most freewheel set ups are used on entry level...

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

I shure hope the LX comes with a cassette instead of a freewheel. I know the Rockstar is getting an upgrade but it didn't sound like the other 2 were. At least if it had a cassette I wouldn't have to change the hub and re-spoke the wheel just to provide more gearing options.

Ever take your Vado off road?

I did once took it down a trail on my normal 5 day a week ride and the trail started out innocent enough but once I got in so far it got worse and worse to the point I was walking my bike down the trail. My bad in that I didn't know the trail before I chose to ride down it. The trail ended up...

    Specialized battery solution. Problem solved!

I have a 2020 Turbo Vado 4.0 and I have no issues with removal or the battery staying in but trying to install the battery is a complete nightmare. Already buggered my paint on the frame and have had it take 15 minutes of fiddling at best 1 or 2 minutes absolutely never first try, cussing and...

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

True, I have 880 miles on my Vado in less than 3 months I'm hoping when I go to a larger chain ring I won't spend as much time on the 11T.

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

Well one day later now, I must have jinxed myself with yesterdays comment because I went for a ride today and in high gear the chain kept skipping so I checked it when I got home and that 11T rear looks pretty rough. It may have skipped once yesterday but today it skipped probably 15 times...

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

I got a Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 3 months ago when they were on sale $532 off plus a $532.50 rebate card which I used for a down payment on the Sondors LX. My Vado has a 40T chain ring which is 8 smaller than on the Vado 5.0 with a little more power. The Vado has a 11-42 range and with my...

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

I have the LX on order so I hope the more power the better as long as they have a good chain as part of the package. I assume the components will pretty much be what's on their XS series bikes preferably with a little wider spread on the gearing.

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

Curious as to the Bafang Ultra rumor came from. It says it's a 750 watt motor and the Ultra from what I've seen looking around is $1000 or so by itself and throw in a pretty large battery and that doesn't leave much more on bikes in that price range.

SONDORS is releasing it's first mid-drive EBikes.

Just ordered a carbon Sondors LX a few days ago, hope it looks close to the renderings. I used my Specialized Turbo Vado 4.0 Visa $532.50 rebate for part of the purchase. The lady that helped me on the phone said there was just a few carbon colored ones left. I asked about accessories and she...

Abus Cafe Lock Advice for Vado

No, the right side boss used to mount the ABUS 4960 in my case was not parallel to the left side boss/not normal to the lock mounting surface, the left did appear to be normal visually.

Abus Cafe Lock Advice for Vado

As far as the bosses on my 2020 Vado 4.0 it seemed like the derailleur side mount was flaired out slightly and the screw on that side seemed to have a slight cross thread on it.

Abus Cafe Lock Advice for Vado

I also got the 2020 Vado 4.0 on sale and bought the 4960 Abus lock not realizing there were different sizes and I had bought the lock on Ebay by selecting an "offer from a seller" which I had not done before. It was $30 and "new" not realizing there was almost $9 shipping so I tried to cancel...
