Why did you switch out to thinner tires? More speed?

To gain an extra 2.5 hours of sleep every week, I throttle all the way into work (4.5 miles) so that I don't have to shower and change into dress clothes. I change into something more casual for the PAS-powered ride back.

It looks like Radrovers will be 500w motors, as in Court's review...

@JoePah, are you saying the controller allows 1kW to the motor because of the 22A maximum current? What's the difference between the "maximum current" and "rated current?" When I gun it, the wattmeter never goes above the low 800 watts, so it seems like there is some sort of limit... I'm also...

How does one tell what kind of motor one has? Does it say "Bafang" on it anywhere? I assume I have the Hengtai, since googling that set of letters and numbers didn't return any results.

I'm at 139 and the PAS sensor broke about 40 miles ago. Somehow, all of their replacement PAS sensors were broken, so I'm waiting longer than anticipated on the replacement to be sent.

Only 62 here, but I've only had it for a week. It's been a fun week, though! I've never looked forward to my commute until now. That sounds like the chain is wearing pretty fast. Do you ride aggressively or is it the desert dust getting to it?

Fofer, have you ever gotten close to the maximum load capacity of 55lbs? I'm wondering if it would be a few pounds less since we have to attach it to a seat post.
