Experience with Tongsheng 36v 350w mid-drive kit anyone?

If you use a bit of common sense, and don't ride like a maniac, classic rim brakes are perfectly adequate.

So, after all the trouble, Briza is not good enough? 🤣 My wife is also pretty picky (suprize, suprize 😀), but she is generally happy with Briza, except that the center of gravity is a bit high, due to rack mounted battery. I really don't see any better place to put the battery on this bike.

Somethig heppened to this thread - I was preparing to answer to EMGX when the whole page 3 dissapeared... Anyway - Congratulations Mr. EMGX - you are about to join the very exclusive club of Dahon Briza TS equipped bikes. Current number of club members: 2 😀

    Break sensor and pas sensor

It should be possible to hijack the PAS signal using the brake switches, but you should be careful not to cause short circuit and damage the PAS sensor or the controler. It depends also if the brake switch is NO or NC. If it is NO and closes when you squeeze the lever, you can use it to short...

You are right - TS battery display shows full until battery is almost half empty, and then starts rapid decline. The same goes for 36 and 48 V versions.

I wouldn't recommend installing it without the anchor - you may end up with the broken casing.

Hi! I don't mind answering your questions at all. I just don't want to be dragged into some heated discussion with someone who may find himself slightly insulted or something 😡 Now at the business at hand: Problem is with the largest sprocket, not the smallest one. On "normal" bikes, the chain...

Experience with Tongsheng 36v 350w mid-drive kit anyone?

I dont pretend to be an expert in this field. The only reason why i put an update is because I was directly asked to. This is just my personal opinion. Now about Dahon, I am sure that someone with lot of experience can make it work, but for someone not so experienced, I wouldn't recommend it...

Ok, here is the update: It is still working fine. I wouldn't worry about the power too much - there is not much difference between 350W motor that I put here, and my own 750 W version. But I would not recommend this build anyway. First of all, it was very difficult and with great risk of...

Experience with Tongsheng 36v 350w mid-drive kit anyone?

Hi again! The update - yesterday i finally got my battery (ordered battery and rack from Aliexpress back in January). I had to use the rack mounted baterry - there is no other place to put it on this bike. Was it worth it? I would say - yes. And yes - it was expensive (Dahon is not the cheapest...

Experience with Tongsheng 36v 350w mid-drive kit anyone?

Hi! I may say that I am in the same boat (my wife also has knee problem, and we also decided to use Dahon Briza + TSDZ2 350W motor). Now about the motor - Last year I put 750W TSDZ2 on my city bike and I don't feel it is anemic. With 8-speed casette I can climb the steepest hils with ease, and I...
