Known Issues & Problems with Ride1Up Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I'm 78 and like long rides. With my Ride1Up Prodigy V2, I carry a second battery. 60 miles with over 5,000 ft of climbing. A more level ride would probably surpass 70 miles.

Tubeless or Mr Tuffy and sealant in tube for goatheads?

My brother and I rode several hunderd rail-trail miles in WA and ID in June. Among them Pal-Cas trail. I used Scwalbe SuperMotoX with Mr Tuffys. Brother had one flat with Kenda OEM tire. I believe in Mr Tuffy AND good SuperMotoX tires. I just picked up a one inch nail yesterday and Mr Tuffy...

Another update with my battery shut-off problem

Absolutely correct. I always remove the factory lights from my new ebike during assembly. I have found these factory lights are totally inadequate for my style of riding. Both Ride1Up and Aventon ebikes. I want the total battery power for my motor. I use two high power Vastfire front lights on...

    Suntour NCX SP12 preload question

I've been riding my NCX for years with it to the rear. I don't think seat suspension would operate properly with NCX to the front. I think the manual writer made a mistake.

    Powerfly 4 Gen 4 - worth it?

Trek makes better bikes than Specialized. The more powerful motor and superb Deore system would be the decision maker for me. I have ridden several Alivio and Altus drivetrains. They are fine. Just not superb!

    "Current-based" cadence-sensing from Ride1up

I have Aventon Pace 500.2 with speed based cadence. It 'rides' to a set speed based on your PAS level setting. For instance, Level 2 gets me about 15-16mph with normal pedal effort. Maybe a1 mph higher with strong pedal effort. Going up hill at Level 2 my speed hardly drops (if any) with normal...

    1UP-USA Racks - I'm a fan

Using my thighs to hold the rack level (taking some pressure of the black bar), then two hands pressing in bar, I can then gently move my knees out of the way and the two ebikes can be swung away from vehicle. This allows access to rear hatch with bikes mounted. Not a fun thing to do everyday...

    1UP-USA Racks - I'm a fan

I use my ramp on the opposite side for the second bike. Bikes are faciing opposite direction. I like my Super Duty 1Up.

    Specialized Vado 4 or Ride1Up Prodigy V2

I bought another Ride1Up bike. I've had very good customer support in the past. I like the value that DTC offers. I purchased Prodigy V2 XR. The lower efficiency factor of IGH persuaded me to go traditional derailleur route. The simplicity of chain/cassette matters to me. I also liked the cost...

    What's that rattle

On both of my Pace 500s, the constant rattle was solved by wrapping the controller in bubble wrap.

Rear Light Connected to LMT'D Controller

No one here seems to have done what you want to do. Suggest FB Ride1Up Group. Much more concentrated owners.

Rear Light Connected to LMT'D Controller

Easier and probably more effective to just add superbirght Cygolite 350.

Yamaha charging $2475.00 for a battery

Ridden Aventon Pace 500 over 3 years and 7,000 trouble free miles. Battery still provides plenty of power for my 30+ mile rides. Excellent company with good customer service. NOT junk!
