    Suggested $300~$500 batteries? (48v)

After I did a lot of research, I came the conclusion that the EM3ev makes a great battery... Luna has great batteries too, I probably would have ordered from them at the time I was purchasing the BBSHD but they were out of stock on just about everything... It seemed that things worked out for...

I just finished a second build for my lady... - 09 Specialized Stumpjumper.. 15" frame - BBSHD - Luna 42 eclipse I dumped the old Juicy 5 hydraulic for some BB7's Any hoo, I take her for a spin and there is a vibration in the mid-range of the RPM's ... For reference purposes only - If the...

    Where to buy my battery?

I just went through the same thing... I needed 2 batteries. As far as bang for the buck, EM3ev was the best deal. The other bike has a 15" frame and is a very tight fit, The battery I bought from EM3ev would not fit... Luna was sold out, That left BafangUSA as my final source... it was perfect...

    Tune it down!

That is an interesting point about the slow start settings being too low! Thanks! Well great news... for me anyway... It turns out to not be a blown controller! - Whew! Yesterday was a maiden voyage on my new build, I put a BBSHD and a 14 volt battery on a 10 year old Specialized Stump Jumper...

    Tune it down!

I finally got my BBSHD loaded with the "Karl's special sauce" program that everyone seems to like. ... What I realized after riding the new program... First of all.. it is fun to ride! But, it is designed for the commuter, not the casual rider who likes to wander casually down the beach riding...

BBSHD Hot rod mode... what can I expect?

Thank you for that... Kind of what I anticipated. Unfortunately I am a mac guy so I am shopping for a used laptop pc... Luna has a great little programer I will eventually get when they come back into stock.

BBSHD Hot rod mode... what can I expect?

Newbe here... Not a total newbe, I have 2 - 500W hub bikes and I am building 2 more fat bikes with BBSHD mid drives that I ordered in hot rod mode. I have never ridden in hot rod mode... My question is, What is the hot rod mode difference? What can I expect? I am in the process of picking up...

Actually, ebikes will get you much LESS exercise

I challenge myself on my e-bike by keeping the battery bar down to 1 or 2 bars of the 6 battery use bars showing... It is easy in PAS 1 or 2, but after PAS 3 it gets challenging to keep the battery from being the dominant power... After 15 or so miles of challenging myself, I enjoy using the...

    E-bike battery blues

I am not interested in a rack battery per se... I just didn't want to buy out of desperation and have it be a bad decision.

    E-bike battery blues

Imagine having 2 BBSHD builds going and no batteries! Luna has no batteries... Not the ones I want anyway... 48 or 52 watt and whatever ah I can get. I have no idea when Luna will get more batteries in. I ordered a small 52 W 11ah dolphin from EM3ev 8 days ago, and just got a notice today that...

I want to build a fat tire e-bike

What I had read was the teeth of the plate that bite into the BB to keep it stable, wear out the aluminum to the point the motor swivels a bit.

I want to build a fat tire e-bike

I may become a dealer of the soul stomper fat tire line and they are dipping their toes into the e-bike market soon... They don't as of yet wholesale an e-bike because of the consumer protection service hasn't issued them a stamp of approval yet. They have options of aluminum or steel frames...

A good name for an e-bike shop

Both are good points... I would have followed up with "electric bicycle" to finish off the description on the signage of course... The Bionic Bike would be more of the logo and corporate name. I see the point of bionics being enhancements beyond it's normal ability... not necessarily just...
