Recommendation on tires for Stromer ST 1

The 2016 Stromers are coming out with Continental Top Contact II. I purchased a set for my ST1 and I have been really happy with them so far.

What kind of bell do you use?

I use mine exclusively when I am riding on the road and my voice is sufficient for when I am on a path. I only used it once on a path as someone jumped in front of me last minute and I blasted the horn and they moved quickly with no injuries on anyones part. As to mounting the horn I placed...

What kind of bell do you use?

I have a horn that sounds just like a car horn and has been very successful in stopping cars when I alert with the horn. http://www.loudbicycle.com/

How's your Stromer Battery holding up?

I have seen this from day one and this is with both my batteries. My percentage drops from 100% to 95% quickly and then just steadily decreases until it hits 10%. I think this is due to the battery technology that is being used. If you could graph the battery discharge there is a sharp curve...

Stromer ST1 is getting a facelift

That has been my concern is the Q factor. I looked into doing this earlier and I abandoned my plans after I could not work it out.

Stromer ST1 is getting a facelift

Do you have the specs on the Schlumpf drive? I am very interested doing this upgrade on my ST1 if it can be done.

How's your Stromer Battery holding up?

A rebuild in these batteries should be not too painful. I know both batteries contain 50x of 18650 size batteries. The purple one uses Samsung ICR18650-22P 18650 batteries and the gold one uses Samsung INR18650-30Q 18650 batteries. I have not pulled any of my batteries apart to see if the...

Video - 310 mile ride on Stromer ST2

Totally awesome. How many battery switch outs did you end up having to do and with how many batteries did you do the trip with?

    Energy Use/Totals Display

Just taking a guess here but maybe how many watt hours the bike has consumed to achieve the totals and then broken down in to an average over miles as well.

Mounting LoudBicycle.com Car Horn on ST2

I have a loudbicycle horn mounted on my bike on the top of the city kit rake. I have provided a picture for reference. I did need to purchase the extended cable and I simply used some large tie wraps to mount it to the rake.

    are st2 tires tubeless

:) I put Orange Seal in my inner tubes but I have not tried tubeless. I believe with tubeless you need to run low PSI and I am not sure that would work well for the Stromers. http://orangesealcycling.com/

A new Stromer coming? (not the ST2 btw)...

My guess is a reworked ST1

    removable display

It would take a screwdriver to remove the display and you have to unhook the cable to the brake and down to the controller, not hard but that is what you would have to do. You can lock the computer so a code is needed to be entered before the use of the motor is allowed. Riding a Stromer...

    Stromer ST1 codes

I have the Platinum and my 3773 code was at 70 already so I doubt 79 is going to mean anything. Now on the other hand the 3775 code was fantastic. The default was 20 and I set it to 79 and it would propel the bike to about 20-. Now if I peddled the bike up to 25 or more and then hit the boost...

    Panniers for City Kit (Racktime)?

They bags have a hook on the bottom you can get to hold on the frame. But they can also slide loose as well if you hit a bump or something similar. You can certainly try and use the panniers without the loops and pick them up latter if you want them. That is what I did.

    New Tires and Chain Needed

More preventive then anything, but I am pretty lazy when it come to maintaining my chain so the winter has had it fun on it for sure. I am getting only a little bit of the gear not taking the next cog in one spot on my shifting. So it may be chain stretch, I just need to buy a tool to find out...
