Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I've found after putting the skinnier tires on the Vado, it is like an SL except more power and more battery:). Haven't found any downsides to it yet. I must be a traditionalist too, I've done the dry lube and the chain wax, using oil goes back to my childhood.

    2X chainring change for Rbike

Got the FSA 3x crank assy in as removed from a Catrike from utah trikes. Removed the big chainring and guard because of interference with the derailleur, installed perfectly in the bb, adjusted the derailleur, and good to go! With the 11-36 cassette the 30/39 chainring is perfect, lost two...

looking to replace 21 speed Shimano on a Rockhopper

Right now I am attempting kind of the reverse. I have a Sequoia that has the two front chainrings on an 11 spd rear 11-36 gears. The chainrings are 48/32. I find the 32 works fine. the 48 is too much of a jump, I checked the other day and level ground moving along pretty good I don't use the...

    2X chainring change for Rbike

I think what I am gonna have to do is use a 3x crank like fsa makes for the trike with 30/39/52 and disregard the outer chainring and remove it if possible. It just so happens utah trike has them as like new removed parts from their ebike conversions for $85. That is a no brainer right there...

    2X chainring change for Rbike

Have a regular bike with the 2x front chain ring, FSA 110 abs 48/32 with the 4 bolts. I'd like to change the 48 to something like a 38 or 40. I don't see a way to do that at the moment, even dropping the inner chainring a little and changing them both out. Figured someone here with all the...

My feedback stand has been working good though it is not rated for the bikes I've been putting on it. It gets a little wobbly sometimes. Was looking for stronger stand but really didn't see any improvement in what was out there without paying an arm, leg, and liver for something so simple...

Cargo Bike Overhaul: Tern GSD gets a new heart and fancy bits!

Good job. Nothing beats a good running ebike.

    Offset Saddle Adapter

I was getting more bounce than preferred. This block of wood helped, how long before it goes on it's own journey, time will tell. Has to be stronger. There are some really offset seatposts on amazon, some of the reports say they were bending, don't know if that was truth. I compared this...

Is it possble to covert 26x4 to 3 onch tire and rim combo

Loosened the cane creek steering damper on the Predator. It is much easier to ride and steer without the damping effect, and it doesn't take very much to effect the steering. Skinnier tires and no damping makes for a much more enjoyable ride.

Is it possble to covert 26x4 to 3 onch tire and rim combo

This is the other conversion from 26 x 4 to 26 x 2.6. Both bikes have same rims 1.25 inner width, the Warrior above has 2.4 tires, this Predator has 2.6 tires, think I like the 2.6 better, both Schwalbe pick-up. Improved handling, suspension seems to work better. The Predator has the dampened...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Traded the Electrak Griptons 51x622 for some Blackburn 35x622 on the Vado. Just say no to fat tires. Much less noticeable rolling resistance. These thinner tires kind of remind me of the tires on the first 10 spd 50 yrs ago, not too thin, not too fat. And had to make a trip with the thinner...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Anybody been inside their Gen 1 motor? The forward pedaling on mine takes more effort than I'd like, rearward is fine, forward not so. Everything is still smooth, no noises, I'd say working 100% as should. Wondering if there is something a guy could lube up as preventative maintenance or such.

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I did the brake caliper mount facing on the como and vado and a few other bikes. Makes the calipers perpendicular to the disc. I am well pleased with the outcome, the bikes coast so much better now, even the most careful caliper mounting always ended up brushing the disc and it was a real pita...

Yet another Vado SL tire thread

I put a a pair of these tires on my Sequoia with 1" inner width rims. I was impressed with how they turned out. After inflation they tended to continue expanding a little so I had to repressurize with air, other than that there were no creases from folding and they were very round and...

    Spoke tension adjustment...

I've wobbled more wheels with one of those. The last few I've done I do by the wheel truing stand and gauges keeping them straight and true and when I'm done I'll check with the tension gauge to see where I am at. I am usually on the low side and have to go around tightening by 1/8 or 1/4 turn...

    Public comments while I ride.

Kind of like playing baseball. If you are batting .500, it is a hit and miss, some people will connect, others need an outlet for their fear and anger, their theory strike first lest thee be striked upon. Don't take it serious and don't let it effect the freedom and fun you are experiencing...

Gearing change on my Voltbike Kodiak.

Check around for gear calculators and input your data and make the modification. Better to be disappointed now than later, or otherwise.

Bought the park tool brake mount truing tool. Have done 3 aluminum post mounts and 1 steel flat mount so far, have concluded it is not machine shop quality but better than what comes out of the factory. And adjusting the caliper to the disc comes out much better and easier and quicker with no...
