    Electric Car thread

For our uses, it’s going to be a great car, too. My commute or visiting family is going to be around 70-90 miles round trip so we won’t even need to charge daily. But I’ll probably plug in every night to 80% for those “just in case” situations. This car isn’t meant for long road trips so...

Yes. The 240v home AC charging speed isn’t the issue as it’s pretty much on par with every other manufacturer. Where it falls short is DC fast charging. It tops out at 55kw which means that going from 10%-80% will be at least a 45-50 minute rest stop on road trips. That will be fine if you’re...

    Electric Car thread

I would love to just be able to order a car via a website instead of getting it from a dealership. But the brands that offer that right now (Rivian, Tesla) are out of my responsible price-range. :p

We ended up putting a deposit on a Bolt EUV. I think it's a great value for the current price. It will hopefully land at the dealership some time next month. I'm still a bit put off by the "slow" DC charging but if I'm honest with myself, 80% of it's use will be for my long commute and not...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Thank you for the good words! Most of my recreational rides are with my toddlers so it’s hard to keep them in line. I don’t think I could look out for them while flying just yet. But yes, I’ll probably bring it with me on my next solo ride. 😊

Are you using Litchi? I used to drone quite a bit before having kids. This one is from a while back. Litchi is pretty amazing and I’ve only scratched the surface. I still have my Mavic Pro around but I haven’t used it in about 4 years.

    Buying a House Advice Thread

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area. For a long time it felt like an impossibility. But my wife and I had the same goal and really changed our spending habits for a good 3-4 years before we seriously looked around. We got rid of our debt and saved up a decent down payment. We were looking at...

    Torque + cadence sensor?

As far as I know, every bike with a torque sensor also has a cadence sensor.

    garmin varia is excellent

I tell my kids that it's a magic. I like to let them out of the Burley so they can burn some energy when we are on trails. When they hear the Varia alert, they now know to move to the right side of the path to let other pedestrians and cyclists through. It's good training. :p

LF: Pannier rack for bike with rear hub motor

Racks are pretty flexible when it comes to width. You can push and pull them to fit your bike.

Hmmn...do ya think think it's not stolen?

This was something I practiced when I sold stuff locally, prior to getting a Google number. It wasn't because I was peddling stolen junk. I did it because it makes it tougher for spam "bots" to recognize it as a phone number and possibly send junk texts or calls my way. ⛔ :) This ad...

    Anyone do electric scooters?

I do. I like mixing up the commute with the scooter. Especially on hot days where even pedaling at maximum assist will result in a lot of sweat. I really want the Road Runner but I’m really hesitant to buy from Voro since they have a ton of negative reviews.

Gazelle Medeo T10 HMB or Dost Drop Chain space ?

The best advice we can give you is to test ride both since they're available at a local shop. Happy riding!

Narrowed down. Cero One or Dost Drop chain.

Cero One would be my choice. Such a cool bike. I know you said No to Tern but I think that the Quick Haul P9 is a really great deal for a cargo bike.

    Good Stuff You Bought

I have that same tail light/horn/alarm. I like it but I don't use it much so I really only charge it once a month. I only turn the alarm on when I'm locking up in front of the store or if I have to leave my bike in front of my garage unattended for a minute or two. If I'm on a mixed use path...

ooh new garmin radar with a camera now.

I think the Varia is great for city riding. It does not keep making audible alerts for every passing car. What it does is give you one audible alert if it sees one car or a group of cars. If it’s one car, it will alert you that is approaching and then give an all clear tone when it’s done...
