Eggrider V2. Can you adjust torque settings of Bafang M620/G510 motors with this?

With the EggRider you don't need any Bafang software packages. Just install the EggRider App. I like the EggRider as my controller, not only for the times when I was making changes, but even now being able to use the phone simplifies my cockpit. I run EggRider, RideWithGPS, Music, and even the...

Eggrider V2. Can you adjust torque settings of Bafang M620/G510 motors with this?

We're talking the Bafang Ultra motor here. Tuning can make significant differences and I find the improvement worthwhile.

Eggrider V2. Can you adjust torque settings of Bafang M620/G510 motors with this?

I think your best bet is to read the "other" tuning guides and see if any of them have links that still work. You can read about them here: https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/ultra-tuning-where-other-guides-go-wrong.52606/ I personally recommend the EggRider V2, as that makes the...

Eggrider V2. Can you adjust torque settings of Bafang M620/G510 motors with this?

That's Luna's BBSxx package - not for the Ultra.

Not to get too far afield, but more than a couple reviews pointed out that many of the popular shock pumps, including the RockShox units, appear to be identical and made in the same factory. For instance this review, which says in part:

BTW, the Lezyne is just a breeze to use. Pretty easy pumping even over 200psi, easy reading of pressure on the digital gauge. The only nit I have is that you have to be careful when threading onto the shock as it seems easy to go on cock-eyed, which would be bad if you end up cross-threading...

Tire advice: slight irregularity around the bead

Yeah, that tire is not fully seated. Do not ride it until you seat it properly. Did you inflate it to the maximum pressure the tire can handle? If not, try that. In the past, with Tannus Armour inserts, I've had to temporarily inflate 10-15psi higher than is stamped on the tire to seat the bead...

Instead I just received this one: LEZYNE Digital Shock Drive Bicycle Hand Pump, High Pressure 350psi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JKA3GLU Which has cost me about $95. "$95 you say? I see it on Amazon for $75." Me: "It cost me $20 to buy the cheap one I just had to throw away. Once again...

Ultra Tuning: Decoding the Voltage Section of Torque Tab

Thanks, and yes I agree that the often misunderstood Voltage table needs to be setup right to make any of the subsequent tunings workable. In case @keithj69 was asking where to start, I have two answers: Overall Ultra tuning, start with this thread...

Ultra Tuning: Decoding the Voltage Section of Torque Tab

First and tenth posts in the thread have EggRider screenshots. Other screenshots are available in the "gone wrong" guides on the web, such as this one.

Ultra Tuning: Decoding the Voltage Section of Torque Tab

Another update: After riding more with my wife, I've updated Step #5 in the Step-By-Step post, above. My latest thinking is that there's really no point in pushing the Torque Table mapping beyond what you're capable of actually producing on the pedals. Might as well just capture your max pedal...

    Show Us a Tool

Here's a tool to NOT buy: https://probiketool.com/products/shock-pump Pro Bike Tool Shock Pump. First, it's hard to pump once you get beyond about 120 psi. Second, the release valve seems to let out air, and not just the air in the hose as claimed. That's because the screw action is so slow...

    Ultra install problems

What's up with this wire (red arrows)?: It travels the Downtube both inside and outside, adding to the space problems where the motor goes. Why?

    Ultra install problems

Looks like a lot of excess wires/cables that may not need to run through there. So many exposed wires that also end up inside, seems crazy. Unused motor wires should be stuffable after the bolts are in, behind the plastic cover plate piece.

Bent hanger / bent derailleur / something else?

Actually, Box Three says the chain has same internal dimensions as an 11-speed chain, so the cogs/sprockets aren’t thicker. And tests I’ve previously linked showed that all manufacturers’ 12 speed chains outlast their own 11 & 10 speed chains due to better materials. But, the Box Three stuff is...

Bent hanger / bent derailleur / something else?

Have done a couple rides now with my un-bent hanger and re-adjusted derailleur. Not a single missed shift or popping off a sprocket. Lesson learned: If you’ve adjusted your derailleur and still have problems, check for a bent hanger. It’s really hard for derailleurs to overcome that...

Experiences with SRAM AXS wireless derailleurs?

The SRAM GX wireless derailleur is under $530 now at Amazon. The blurb claims: Is this really true? On my Ultra bike, I've got a Shift Sensor installed to pause the motor when shifting. Obviously, with wireless the Shift Sensor has no wire to connect to, so I won't have that. BUT, if it's...

Bent hanger / bent derailleur / something else?

The SRAM GX wireless derailleur kit is now $528: https://www.amazon.com/SRAM-Eagle-AXS-Upgrade-Kit/dp/B091TJ3CJL But, a bent hanger will mean that somewhere along the travel the derailleur is mis-aligned and whether it's shifted by cable or electronically, especially if the cable is simply...

Yeah, I added a Park DAG-3 to my cart earlier.

Bent hanger / bent derailleur / something else?

Took another more strenuous ride this morning. Had it pop out of gear a few times. So, back home, just looked at the cage relative to my wife's almost identical bike, and yeah, the cage was tilted compared to the wheel. Put a big wrench on the hanger end with the derailleur still attached and...
