    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

    Really don't care what performance cyclists do or think. I know what I personally want to know after a ride, and I prefer the way Specialized presents it. Period.

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

    This for starters: Bottom line: The Wahoo and Specialized apps are by no means equivalent post-ride, and I much prefer the latter. Simple as that.

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

    It's not just about the device. The Wahoo app is no replacement for the Specialized app after the ride. I was quite happy without a bike computer till this phone camera issue came up. No recent changes in my privacy settings. Still no interest in sharing my ride data on any platform.

    Fine here. No idea why you're seeing that. Just checked the RideWithGPS app. Everything looks OK. Thanks for all you help in the switch to the ACE. Still getting used to it and the Wahoo app. I'm sure they'll work out in the long run, but still prefer the Specialized app in many respects...

    Just for fun...

    One of the most magical — and improbable — landscapes I've ever seen. I'd never marr a place that special with bike tracks — even if they lasted only a day. But imagine a fat tire ride when that gorgeous blue-green water fills the interdune lagoons! I know a little about dune fields from my...

    Plastic free lunchboxes for rear panniers?

    Silicone snap-lock containers like the ones @PCeBiker pointed out above have a lot of appeal for your use case. I share your concerns about microplastics, but make sure that's a problem with food-grade silicone before rejecting that material. We've used the same set of borosilicate...

    Too bad for him the story's gotten out. He'll be deported for not carrying a baguette. ;^}

    Flying V

    Good pickup. Could the Sprint motor bring other advantages to an EU Flying V restricted to 25 kph? Perhaps some added torque to deal with the weight during acceleration? A Flying V for the US market would clearly need a different IGH if not a derailleur. To hit 28 mph (45 kph) at the same 85...

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

    Further impressions of the Wahoo ACE o As @Stefan Mikes suggested, the screen's more legible in light mode. Easy to read even in bright sun, and much easier to read in sun than the Specialized app, which I had to run in dark mode to conserve phone battery. o And speaking of batteries...

    I see now why you like voice nav so much. OK, you fantasize about the Helga behind the voice, and I'll see if Gizela will take me back.

    I think I understand. Might've been a little too quick to kick Gizela off my bike. ;^}

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

    I'm sure the day will come when I'll be happy to have the Wahoo's voice nav. Till then, it's off.* Gizela, eh? Are you at liberty to divulge the kind of woman that name evokes in your mind? ;^} Thanks for the heads-up! I think I have WG76 now. *ADDENDUM: Just struck me that I might have more...

    Camera damage in handlebar-mounted phones?

    I ride from the house 98% of the time. No need or desire for turn by turn navigation on most of these local rides. And I certainly don't want to get beeped with silly notifications about things like climbs ahead. Also keep the nav voice off in the car. No desire to listen to all that kibbitzing...

    Big mistake!

    Mistress Melania was hoping for some exposure on EBR, as she sees ebikers as a promising client pool. But probably best to end the subject here.

    Big mistake!

    Hmmm, I'll have to try that next time. Never got anywhere with "But honey, what about all those shoes??"

    Big mistake!

    As a married man, I shouldn't have to remind you that they never forget a mistake.

    Big mistake!

    Agree, best not to share all your mistakes with your spouse. When she's dithering about to when to send you to the nursing home, it will only work against you. ;^}
