Evelo Owners, what do you do when..........

I have never been too concerned that Evelo will help me while the product is still under warranty. My worry is what happens when it needs out-of-warranty repair/service.

Anybody own an Evelo Omega and near the KC area?

I hope someone in your area comes forward and gives you an opportunity to test ride the Omega. Of course, your other option is just to take a chance on the Omega and rely on Evelo's warranty and return policy if you are unhappy with your purchase. If you do decide to proceed with the purchase...

Metric/Imperial Centuries? Poll, and your experience.

I wish I could, but age/health/arthritis pain make it unlikely. About 30 miles is my usual limit, but maybe I could accomplish 50 with a couple of Aleve's :). On my Gazelle Arroyo, under ideal conditions, I could probably get about 70 miles with constant ECO assist, but my achy joints would...

Evelo Owners, what do you do when..........

I have purchased several bikes from my LBS including 2 ebikes. When my wife needed to switch to a trike in 2018 because of health problems the Evelo Compass was my first choice after doing extensive research. I checked with what my LBS carried, but they really didn't measure up to the Compass...

Best Rock Ever? Nominations, No Air Supply!

As a side note to this thread ... I am not a fan of music videos. I don't mind the videos that actually show the artists performing the piece, but I find most videos distracting. I usually just turn away or close my eyes to get the maximum enjoyment of listening. I guess it is an age thing. I am...

Best Rock Ever? Nominations, No Air Supply!

I came of age in the late 60's and early 70's and usually gravitated towards the folk/ballad/country rock styles over hard rock. There are so many groups, musicians and songs from that era that I still listen to regularly, that I can't really name a favorite. But here is one of the early ones I...

Sena has "dumbed down" the Sena R1 Evo helmet.

I haven't noticed any degradation tied to number of users. I have 5 helmets and on occasion we have had all 5 linked on the same channel. Of course, if a rider gets out of range or if the terrain and other obstacles interfere with the signal, the user will drop out. With the mesh connection on...

My wife has a Evelo Compass trike that she likes. It is mid drive rear wheel drive with differential, 3 speed IGH shifter, throttle, mechanical disc brakes and 2 batteries. https://evelo.com/products/compass

PA eBike Rules for Trails Finalized

Sounds like good common-sense regulation to me. I like this line: "Therefore, DCNR’s policy is focused on managing behavior, not devices."

    Old Newby

My wife loves her Evelo Compass trike and has a little over 1000 miles on it now. She has never had a fall with it, but like all upright trikes it has a fairly high center of gravity. So she learned early on to slow down when turning. It tops out at about 15 or 16 mph which is plenty fast for a...

    Old Newby

75 and been riding my Gazelle ebike for 4 years now, and looking forward to next spring so I can start year 5 of ebiking! My wife is 78 and after several falls with her 2-wheel ebike a couple of years ago, we "upgraded" her to an e-trike and she still goes on most rides with me. We are very...

    Nyon Retrofit

If anyone is still looking for the original Bosch Nyon that uses the same mount as the Intuvia, it looks like this seller from Austrailia has 3 more of them for sale in "new" condition. It's the updated 8 GB version including the thumb control ($220 "buy it now" plus $20 shipping to US). (Note...

Gazelle Ultimate C380+ Schwalbe Energizer Plus Tires

I just leave the Schrader adapters on my Gazelle Arroyo. I know it isn't recommended to do that, but after 4 years and 2000 miles, it hasn't really caused me any problems. So for me, I guess convenience has won out over best practice. I check / top off tire pressures pretty regularly but I don't...

    Arroyo chaingard adjustment

Just out of curiosity, does your Arroyo have the Shimano Nexus 8 speed IGH shifter? That is what my 2017 Arroyo has and I noticed on my last few rides that it is making a noise in 8th gear, even if I am just coasting and not pedaling. I am hoping that is an adjustment and not an indication that...

    Arroyo chaingard adjustment

When that happens with my Arroyo, my LBS tightens the chain. It only seems to last a while before it gets noisy again. I bet my LBS will recommend replacing the chain the next time I have my bike serviced. I have ~2000 miles on my Arroyo, so I suspect the chain is somewhat worn/stretched. I plan...

I yeeted my AXA cafe lock

I like the cafe lock too. I bought the plug-in cable so I can secure the bike to a bike rack or post as an additional deterrent. So it is like having 2 locks with one key. I have worried about losing the key, but so far it has worked well for me (after owning my Gazelle Arroyo for 5 years).
