Looking to purchase my first e-bike but like many, am having concerns making a big purchase without seeing or riding it first! The Evelo Omega is what I am considering. I live 30 miles north of Kansas City and was hoping I could find someone who owns this bike in the KC area so I could possibly check it out in person before making such a big purchase. I contacted their customer service via email and they couldn't help me in this regard, but they did suggest two bike shops in the KC area that they like. Any help/suggestions or information on how I could ride this bike before purchasing would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

I hope someone in your area comes forward and gives you an opportunity to test ride the Omega. Of course, your other option is just to take a chance on the Omega and rely on Evelo's warranty and return policy if you are unhappy with your purchase.

If you do decide to proceed with the purchase, I would also encourage you to have Evelo work with a LBS to take delivery of the bike and do the initial assembly/setup. I did that with Evelo a couple of years ago when I bought a Evelo Compass trike for my wife. It worked out very well and my LBS did a great job in setting up and delivering the assembled trike. That experience gave me hope that the LBS would also be willing to work with me and Evelo in case the trike ever needs service/repair. So far I have not had to test that theory, but my experience with Evelo is that they are an excellent company to deal with and have quality products.

Thank you for the advice! I will contact evelo and see if that could be done. I would feel much better about having someone local to help me with any issues (hopefully none) might arrive.
