Ask Watt Wagons. I shipped a rack mount battery to them for my wife's pedego. They re-built it with GA cells, and upgraded the BMS to one of their new BMS. Yes, costs a little more.. but lower compared to buying a full pack. They provide 1 year warranty as well. Well worth it tbh.

I think 20-40 miles is a sweet spot if there is a dual battery option to get to 40-80 miles. That is PLENTY of range for most cases. My riding is mixed and if I can do 30 miles / charge, I am happy.

Umm.. I don't quite understand the point you are trying to make. No, that is not correct. You can set the BMS to limit charging to % of the SOC. Greatly simplifying it but the BMS "voltmeter" component essentially needs to know what series pack it is (14S / 13S etc) and then % SOC will work...
