Aventure rear brakes do nothing, fronts barely engage

Are there any LBS near you? See what they have on hand and that they can service? I’m sure this is leaving a bad taste in yoyr mouth but persevere a little longer and check some other alternatives. Hope you find an ebike that works out for you.

Walmart ebike with four year protection plan

OK, then. What "DOES" it cover? Appears to be absolutely useless. I guess if it breaks or stops working and I get mad and yell at it, nothing will be covered because I "verbally abused" it. :p

Aventure rear brakes do nothing, fronts barely engage

I have been observing a lot of "Anti-Aventon" sentiment on multiple forums specifically related to piss poor customer support. I have scraped Aventon off my list of potential ebikes. I would give it a full 10 days and if no communication from them file a complaint with Visa. Keep a record of...

Looking to buy, do I sound realistic?

With $6k worth of ebikes, they're going into the room with me. I won't risk it overnight in a hotel parking lot. Plus I can keep them charged. If I absolutely had to leave them outside, the rack hold down bars will be locked, a large cable lock attached plus I have the ABUS folding locks with...

    Flat Tire Prevention Advice

A local bike shop offers “Desert Proofing” bike tires. They install a liner, a thicker thorn proof tube and then add sealant. Sounds good to me as I mostly ride on the street and occasional gravel/dirt roads. I will probably do this for more peace of mind.

Aventure rear brakes do nothing, fronts barely engage

According to the bike description they are hydraulic. According to their user manual if you have brake problems to take it to a bike shop (if you can’t do it yourself). Aventon should cover the shop costs since it is brand new. Any bike shop should be able to bleed/adjust bike brakes. Sucks that...

Aventure rear brakes do nothing, fronts barely engage

Hydraulic: Mineral oil, bleed kit and a little time. Lot of YT vids on how to do it. Manual: Get a maintenance book, watch some YT vids or take it to a bike shop. Any shop should be able to work on it, they wouldn't be working on the motor or electronics.

    Dash cams for bikes

I think a rear view camera is a good idea. Leaving a camera on bike even for a little bit of time is an invitation for sticky fingers.

    6.4", 310lbs, 34"inseam stepthrough help needed

Don’t let the “Miss” model deter you. It’s for marketing. It’s a step through. They have a 24” model with less power for the ladies. Nowadays there isn’t a ”women’s bike. They’re called step throughs to get past the stigma. I had both of my knees replaced and I have to lean the bikes Wayyyyy...

    6.4", 310lbs, 34"inseam stepthrough help needed

https://www.soulbeachcruisers.com/shop/ Big cruiser style bikes. I'm 6ft - 285lbs. Moves me around at a pretty quick pace. Liked my first bike so much that I bought a second one in a different color. Don't be mislead by the "Miss" version. It's a big bike. 26" wheels, plenty of power and plenty...

Known Issues & Problems with Soul Fast E Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Could you specify the quality issues you are referring to and who the “we” is that have to work out those issues? Have you personally inspected and test rode any of these ebikes? You are referring to a review done by someone else several years ago for a different model. I saw the same YT review...

How fast will your bike go?

Soul Sonic Saber Pro cruiser. 42T chain ring, 48v, 750w nominal with 1100w peak and 26” wheels. With me pedaling (I’m at 285lbs and the bike is at 70lbs) I can get up to 33mph. Normally just riding around I‘m at 14-15mph.

Known Issues & Problems with Soul Fast E Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I purchased a Soul Sonic Saber with the Pro package in Jan. of this year. I’’m a large size rider , i.e., 6ft. and 285lbs. so I was looking for a bike that would handle the weight. The Sonic Saber does the job. I’m guite happy with my purchase so much that I just received my 2nd Sonic Saber Pro...

    Bike stand(s) for heavy e-bike

My ebikes weigh in at 70lbs. I bought the Bike Hand HD repair stand rated for 110lbs. Works great. The hard part is lifting the bike to get it onto rack. Thinking of getting some milk crates to elevate the the bike to make it easier to get the bikes onto the rack. Maybe use my hydraulic jack???

    Sondors mid-drive price increases

I don’t have a Sondors. I purchased a electric cruiser back in Jan. Decided to purchase a 2nd bike, the same model but different color in May. The price had increased close to $500 in just 4 months. Definitely increased shipping costs and shipping times. Also parts substitutions due to...

    Nero - top speed adjustment

I believe that changing the speed limiter is for setting the speed at which the motor will stop providing power. In my case it should provide power no matter how fast I am going as I essentially removed the limiter. Though the motor and battery combination can only go so fast. Definitely not 99...

    Nero - top speed adjustment

Not sure what you mean. I have a non-Nero ebike and I changed the speed limit to 99 kph but the bike physically only goes up about 28mph. If I do my part with shifting and pedaling I can get up to 32+ mph.
