    An idea for bike companies

As long as you can get the proper connector and pin-out for a specific bike's charge connection. In the past I've found this is not always an easy task (e.g.: Yamaha charge adapters).

    Fat bikes a fad?

Couldn't even imaging riding one without e-assist - yes they are quite inefficient. But they are fun in the right conditions. Wouldn't really want to ride anything else in loose sand and even if they don't have the range of a lighter e-bike with more efficient tires (less overall rolling...

    Como vs Vado- HELP!

We have his-n-hers Haibike Trekking 7.0's instead (de-restricted as of yesterday :) ). When we go out on our faster conditioning rides, we clip in and I take the Vado while she rides her FLX Roadster SE (which was originally my bike until she took it for a test ride, came back with a big grin...

    Bikes,eBikes,protest,and cops

I wonder whether Fuji will now stop selling bikes to the general public since they can be used for rioting and looting?

FINALLY Getting My PearTune MSO Chips Today & Tomorrow

Bummer. I've had great luck with DHL from both Asia and Europe - but never with a USPS hand-off. In this particular case I thought that the FedEx shipment would come a day late based on its status this morning. But it came today as scheduled, only 10 minutes after its specified "by noon"...

FINALLY Getting My PearTune MSO Chips Today & Tomorrow

BTW- Got the first PearTune modules today, and they are awesome! Installed them on our his-n-hers Haibike Trekking 7.0's and what a difference they make. Not that I'm trying to cruise around at 30mph, but just the fact that we don't start getting cut-off happening at 19.2. We've got some...

FINALLY Getting My PearTune MSO Chips Today & Tomorrow

This has been a pretty long saga trying to get these! I ordered them through the manufacturer on eBay (user jery9871) as it is really difficult to find a source of tuning chips which will ship to the U.S. ebiketuning.com has many tuning options, but they specify on their web site: " We ship...

Review of the 30+ MPH Juiced HyperScorpion electric moped

Yeah, I would probably look like a monkey... doing a football if I rode it. Although Tora Harris is no small/short guy and he doesn't look too bad on it. I bought it to surprise my wife. She has a 'need for speed'. But I may just have to take it out for at least 1 test ride... ;) I do think...

    Hello from Oakland, CA

Welcome Chris. You have had the opportunity to test out some very nice e-bikes, and have made an awesome choice to purchase. E-bikes in their many forms are a real blast, but there is always something special when riding an e-road bike. You are taking a bicycle which is so much more efficient...

LockDown Fun - Show Us Pictures of Your Pets

Poor little Coconut ate a spider or a bee, and wound up with a through-and-through abscess. He had to wear the 'cone of shame' for a week!

Which eMTB to consider? (bought a Levo Comp)

I know that you are going to use the bike part on the street and part on the trails, and maybe you are thinking about the Shimano half/half pedals to get more pedaling efficiency on the street? If thinking about clipping in while on the trail, fully understand that e-bikes are a lot heavier...

    Bike To Bike Communication

I truly don' think you will be disappointed with the performance of the helmets. They have become our first choice by a long margin. Helmet comms are more handy when out riding than you can initially think they will be.

Review of the 30+ MPH Juiced HyperScorpion electric moped

Oh, 'da bums! They are building the brushed aluminum units last, and that's what we have on order. Looks like it could be worth the wait though. :)

Installing mirror on the end of the handlebars

I've not tried a helmet mounted mirror, only an eyeglass mounted one ("take a look" brand) and couldn't get the rearward vision I wanted. Too bad because it would have been a much cheaper solution when you need to outfit multiple bikes. Here is one of the Hafny mirrors we like mounted on bars...

Installing mirror on the end of the handlebars

Yes, the plastic bar end plugs would generally be considered to be in the "dime a dozen" cost category. You end up with a bunch of them when you change out grips and/or add mirrors. Here are the rear bars on my Gepida Thoris. Generally 'locking' type grips will have a metal clamping ring on...
