Hi everyone,

Im Chris. Late last year I was reintroduced to cycling by a coworker.

It started off as scootering to and from work in September. I saw all the bikes just rolling by me so I decided that maybe a bike was the way to go.

I went to Mikes Bikes and a very nice lady sold me a Specialized Allez. Then my coworker who had an ebike was like Chris you should really get an ebike or at least try one out. So I went back to Mikes Bikes and tried out the Specialized Turbo Vado. It was the most amazing experience in the world but the bike was heavy like 50lbs. I was like I’ll get one when Specialized puts it on a diet. 50lbs is a lot to carry on the BART.

Fast forward to 29th of December and there it was in the Berkeley store a brand new Specialized Turbo Creo SL Comp Carbon EVO. I bought it and I LOVE IT!!! Biking has replaced Bowling as a hobby now. I joined Bike East Bay and SF Bike Coalition to help advocate for and promote bike infrastructure and safe streets.

I joined Electric Bike Review to learn more about my bike and many others as well as learn how to properly clean and maintain my bike. In any case...thanks for reading.

Welcome Chris.

You have had the opportunity to test out some very nice e-bikes, and have made an awesome choice to purchase. E-bikes in their many forms are a real blast, but there is always something special when riding an e-road bike. You are taking a bicycle which is so much more efficient as compared to others, and adding that e-bike power to the overall package just can't stop you from having that huge grin on your face whenever you ride it.

Many happy and safe miles to you!
