May be moving to Vienna, Austria, will need commuter e-bike

I would wait until you get there, then being biased to an Austrian brand already, I'd pop into the nearest KTM dealership, and see what they have for you to try out. :) (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) Also... I'm off to Switzerland next week, and by recollection of being there last year...

Haibike AllMtn Plus vs FullSeven RX

From my extensive off road experience, the Performance Line motor has proved to be a very good motor for off-road use. Virtually all of my riding is off road, and I ride throughout the year in conditions that could often be considered extreme, both in respect of mud and often elevation gain...

    Swiss trip 2016

I had started this thread in the KTM section, but as the forum now has a dedicated eMTB section, it seems more relevant here. I have visited Lauterbrunnen more times than I care to remember, but last year saw my first trip there taking an eMTB. There was a specific reason for taking the bike...

    Topeak Torque Wrench

A man after my own heart. :) It certainly looks a lovely bit of kit, and I can see it possibly replacing my existing set up.

    Best Practices: Creating a Signature

Hi Court. Many thanks for the kind words. :) Oddly I still can't see the signature from my end. This is a screen shot from this page as I view it.

    Forum Updates and Feedback

Politics could be a dodgy topic, add to that religion and gun law, and you could well see the end of the forum. :D I have mixed feelings about an "introduce Yourself" section. Often it proves quite useful, but then I do wonder about how a new forum user might feel, when no one responds to...

    Best Practices: Creating a Signature

Does this action take time to process? I've tried several times this evening without success. Clicking save on it's own doesn't seem to work, and clicking preview then save doesn't either.

    eMTB off road photo thread.

With Court being kind enough to have added a mountain, trail section of the forum, it seems like an ideal opportunity to start a photo and introduction thread for those eMTB owners that use their bikes for their intended purpose of being ridden and used off road. I'd say that 98% of my eMTB use...

    Forum Updates and Feedback

Looks good Court. :) One observation. Do you need an off topic discussion heading within the e-bike section, when it already has general discussion. The Off-topic discussion, should perhaps have it's own sub section below that of the e-bike section.

    tail lights

I do just the same. :) (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) They seem to put up with exceptionally harsh riding conditions that I put them through. 90% of my riding is off road, and the 10% on road use, is on very quiet country lanes, so I don't really require anything expensive. If I were...

KTM Macina Lycan 2016 Swiss Alps trip

Well that's the carry with me kit all sorted for this years Swiss trip. :) The next week of waiting to head off, is going to seem very long. :( (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) Unless I decide to play with the gearing, the sprocket won't be required. I'll also only carry one of the chain...

    ktm macina lycan 27 gps+

Thank you both for the kind words. :) The next two weeks of waiting to head off, are really going to drag. I just want to go. :) Interestingly for me, is that someone that lives there has kindly offered to take me out for ride. Instagram does have it's uses. :) His ride routes certainly look...

Here you go Ann. I've just started carrying out a bit of maintenance, before heading off with the bike for yet another Swiss trip. :) http://electricbikereview.com/community/threads/ktm-macina-lycan-27-gps.865/page-2#post-52091 .

    ktm macina lycan 27 gps+

Out for yet another after work on the South Downs during the week. Another glorious summer evening, with hardly anyone else around. Perfect. :) I frustratingly took another tumble, this time whilst riding along a wet chalk rut that had been created by a farm vehicle. Wet chalk is as slippery...

    Forum Updates and Feedback

I think that one of the key points to that one, is staying away from politics and religion. :) Having said that, the EU referendum has and is being discussed at length. Don't get me started on that one! ;) (btw I voted remain) Our hot topic is actually S pedelecs and illegal bikes. Religion...

I quite like the simplicity of the topic headings from http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/ It could be reduced even further as well.

    Dealing with Hargreaves Cycles

Did you not look over and test the bike when you collected it? Surely you would have seen many of the faults that you have detailed upon collection, including chain, reflectors and bell. If the bike had been boxed and sent out, then it would have been up to you to carry out any final assembly...

Hi Vincent, I'm from the UK, so it could be a European only version. edit... Just crossed with Greg's reply :) I've owned it for just over one year. The full spec can be found here https://www.thule.com/en/gb/bike-rack/towbar-bike-racks/thule-euroclassic-g6-928-_-928003 I actually had a very...

Newbie Question on Car Transport - How? Dedicated E-Bike Car Racks?

I'm more than happy with my Thule EuroClassic 928 G6 LED It gets used mainly for when traveling from the UK to Switzerland, and I have every confidence in it. The OTT locks are fitted due to an overnight stop in France. Having said that, after seeing the carnage of bikes scattered on...
