    LMT’D Front Sprocket Dropping Chain

Ha, nope, no second bike for spare parts. First one is headed back.

    LMT’D Front Sprocket Dropping Chain

Just figured I would let you all know that the new LMT’D was delivered and assembled today and all is well. It was definitely a frame alignment issue on the first one. Ride1up took great care of me to make it right. Now I just need this weather to pass so we can get out and ride a bit.

    LMT’D Front Sprocket Dropping Chain

Just so you guys know we confirmed this was a frame alignment issue. Pretty obvious if you look at the above pics. The bike could have taken a punch while in transit or it could simply be the cumulative effect of frame manufacturing tolerances. No amount of band aid’s would have corrected this...

    MTB Style Handlebars for LMT’D?

Thanks. I picked up these from Amazon. I haven’t installed them yet since I’m still troubleshooting chain drop issues on my LMT’D. None of the usual fixes/adjustments have resolved it.

    LMT’D Front Sprocket Dropping Chain

Still no luck in getting this resolved. Stiff links were fixed, slight wobble in chainring was fixed, no bent teeth apparent, and I’ve run through the derailleur adjustments numerous times. The chain still gets dropped/thrown not only in Gear 8 but also in Gear 7. I’m starting to think it’s a...

    LMT’D Front Sprocket Dropping Chain

Found and fixed two stiff chain links, but the chain is still being dropped by the front sprocket in gears 7 and 8. Does anyone know if the chain that comes on the LMT’D is a Shimano directional?

    LMT’D Front Sprocket Dropping Chain

Just took delivery of the bike and got it assembled. It’s dropping the chain off the front sprocket on the bike stand as well as when riding in 7th and 8th gears. The chain rides up off the front sprocket teeth and then slides between the teeth and the outside chain guard. The chain is well...

    MTB Style Handlebars for LMT’D?

I just took delivery of and assembled an LMT’D ST. First impressions are that the handling seems twitchy and constrained at the same time. We’re more used to MTB styled bikes, and since we do plan to use the LMT’D in forest service roads I’m thinking the swept back style handlebars just need to...

Widest Tire for 19mm Inner Width Rim?

I’m trying to convince myself I can go 2.5” or 2.6”, especially considering Ride1up ships the LMT’D with 2.4” WTB’s, but unfortunately it sounds like that would really be stretching it. Thanks for all the feedback.

Widest Tire for 19mm Inner Width Rim?

Thanks but I think that chart is just for calculating wheel circumference when wheel and tire diameters are known. It’s not really a guideline for determining how wide of a tire you can fit in a given rim width. There’s some good forum discussions out there in this question, mostly on MTB...

Widest Tire for 19mm Inner Width Rim?

I have an LMT’D in order which comes with 19mm inner width rims and 2.4” hybrid tires, which are already near the extreme end of what’s considered to be compatible with 19mm rims, at least according to WTB charts. There are other charts out there that don’t even consider the 2.4” OEM tires to be...

Do you regret buying (or not buying) Step-thru vs. Step-over frame?

I would be curious to know if most folks feel step throughs are not as well balanced and don’t handle as well as conventional framed bikes.

    Just received my LMT'D

Congrats on the bike. I ordered a LMT’D on Wednesday. Still no tracking info. Can you elaborate the on the feels really weird and handlebar comment? Are the handlebars too swept back? I was thinking I may need to change the handlebars to a straighter MTB style, I really dislike huge swept back...

    Garmin Edge (old vs. new)

Yeah, I’ve been considering that also. I guess it comes down to how much is the 1040’s enhanced speed and the multi-band GNSS is worth to me.

    Garmin Edge (old vs. new)

I’ve got an old (ancient as far as tech goes) Edge 800. I believe it was initially released in 2011. I’ve been looking at the new 1040 but it has so many features I’ll never use I’m wondering if it’s worth the $$$. In all honesty, the only benefit it likely has for my general mapping purposes...

    Bafang M620 Question

I’m sure this has been covered but I couldn’t find the answer to this question. I’ve seen references to the M620 coming in two versions, 750W and 1,000W, and I’ve seen references implying that there’s only one version of the motor and the user can set it to either 750W or 1,000W (at least with...

    Suggestions for mid-drive, step-through, w/ throttle?

Otterishly, I see in your initial post that you ride on gravel roads and/or mellow single track 50% of the time. I was considering the Level.2 step through for my wife but I’m not convinced it’s the best bike for her as we will mostly be riding on rough gravel roads and rutted forest service...

    Cyrusher Kommoda - A Unique, Full-Suspension, Step-Through Electric Bike - My Thoughts

Sorry about that, I was thinking of another step through that had an air shock for the rear.

    Cyrusher Kommoda - A Unique, Full-Suspension, Step-Through Electric Bike - My Thoughts

Thanks, I appreciate the link to the thumb throttle as I prefer thumb over twist. Did you mount it on the left side? There seem to be quite a few complaints about the rear shock and difficulties getting it inflated and keeping it at the inflated pressure when removing the shrader connection...

    Cyrusher Kommoda - A Unique, Full-Suspension, Step-Through Electric Bike - My Thoughts

The short wheelbase also concerns me in terms of offsetting it’s ability to handle trails. Inherent issue with smaller frames, but looks like they could have gone with a slightly longer wheelbase to improve off road manners. Would really like to hear more from any owners, both good and bad...
