Small or big wheels? What are the advantages of each?

Bigger tires roll over things faster and better, which is why there is no such thing as a mountain bike with 20" wheels (other than kids bikes). That is also why 29er's became a thing, and is the de facto current standard, with 27.5" somewhat less popular. 26" is now primarily only on cheaper...

Perhaps not ideal, but it looks great. 👍

    She who hesitated...

It reminds me of the time I put a Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 lens into my cart on Amazon...it was Cyber Monday and it was listed for $200. It is a $2400 lens. Then I saw another lens also listed at the same price. I got greedy and tried putting more into my cart. Long story short I never got...

    How to protect derailleur

Not familiar with your bike, but if there are enough axle threads available, this style of derailleur guard should work. It would require modification by cutting a slot to allow it to be slid onto the axle without removing the nut and power cable.

Como - Crank arm retainer problem - please advise

I am not familiar with the Como, but from your description it sounds like the bike is equipped with self-extracting crank arms, and that the outer ring you are describing is the part that the actual crank bolt pushes against when removing the arm. As long as the crank bolts themselves are tight...

Carrying a second battery on the Pace 500

Most racks are rated to carry 55 lbs., including the Planet Bike Eco rack.

    Pedal crank

You have already done it, but there is no need to change a bottom bracket for a crank arm that has been rounded out. You only need a new arm. The aluminum crank arm is far softer than the steel bottom bracket axle.

The OP indicated having a Park Tool CCP-44, which is for ISIS/Octalink spindles.

    Crank arm removal HELP

There are typically only two left hand threads on a bicycle; the left pedal axle, and on bikes with a BSA threaded bottom bracket, the drive side bearing cup.

Redshift ShockStop seatpost and stem installed

I do not believe it will fit because your bike does not have a stem in the traditional sense, unless perhaps the tube diameter of the telescoping section happens to be the 25.4mm, in which case you could attach it to the mast. You would of course have the unused handlebar mount sticking up which...

    Crank arm removal HELP

Sometimes (but not always) there is a very thin washer that goes between the bolt and crank arm. If the washer is still in the arm, when you thread the tool in, all you are doing is pushing against the washer. So check for a washer and if it there, take it out. If there is no washer, then use a...

    New trek police bike

IMO, it is high IMO, it is high. I guess they believe someone will really want the "police" bike and would be willing to pay for the distinction.

Looking for well made 26" Fat Tire Folding frame that I will convert to mid drive.

Montague does not make a fat folding bike, so is a fat bike what you are really asking for, or just a mountain bike? There is a Montague frame on eBay.

    Dolphin Derailleur Hanger Replacement

Other than contacting Qualisports, you can take your bike to a shop and they can match it up visually. You can try visually matching it also; visit Wheels Manufacturing. Temporarily (and even kinda permanently), if it is not bent too much, you can bend it back. It is best to use a derailleur...

Chain Drop To Outside Of Chain Ring When On Small Cog - Every Ride - Multiple Times - Brand New

Does it make any sound or do you feel anything move when you do this? If you do, that would indicate the bottom bracket is loose. I assume it has a sealed cartridge BB. In that case the crank arms would need to be removed and the BB torqued properly into the BB shell. I am not familiar with...

Trying to find my first e-bike. Know of any cheap 28mph city-commuter bikes, with Nuvinci N380 hub?

Not quite 28mph and only front suspension, but the Evelo Aurora Limited is $4K, belt drive, and NuVinci hub.

Tire options for a Fold XS

In my opinion, going tubeless is best done with rims that have been designated as tubeless ready. It is unlikely that the rims on the Fold XS are tubeless ready. Now, there are people out there that will tell you it can be done, but that does not speak to how difficult it might be to get it to...

What does MECH mean in bike terms?

Mech is often used in the U.K. to mean the front or rear derailleur, "my bike has a Shimano Ultegra rear mech."

Why Put 12 Speed Groups On Bafang Ultra Bikes?

Why? Because the industry pushes it, in the name up progress and upgrading. You cannot even buy Deore LX anymore, at least not in name. If you wanted that quality level, it is 10 speed or more; there is no choice. The $300 derailleurs will not even work with 8 speed, because the cable...

    Sizing the Rook

Get the S/M. If you went with the larger size there is a strong possibility you would not be able to fit a suspension seatpost if you wanted one.
