This is how it started life



I needed a folding eMTB FULL STOP. Could i have bought a top brand eMTB? Yep. Do any fold? Nope. So i decided to buy one of these, strip it back and reimagine it.

I have since discovered the frame and battery on aliexpress and alibaba. Eventually (Probably next year) i'll fit a mid motor too.

Must add the wiring is a bit chaotic as i replaced the brakes yesterday and im waiting for some HIGO - JST SM cables to turn up so i haven't tidied it up yet

Montague does not make a fat folding bike, so is a fat bike what you are really asking for, or just a mountain bike? There is a Montague frame on eBay.

If I can't find a good folding fat tire I will go for the mountain bike. At this point I'm not seeing anything that is as well made as Montague.

there is a guy on one of the other ebike forums- not sure where- that did a montague and i think bbshd but may be 02
he puts it in his airplane and uses it a lot
should be a build thread somewhere on it

I had a monty once. it wasn´t the ´full monty´. Some years back I got it for $60. The frame was too small, but it came with a
cool camo bike cover. I kept the cover, but gave the bike to a LBS. Itś still there, & I bet he´ll take $60 for it.
