    The Shelves Are Bare

The entire pipeline is out of whack. It is slowly catching up; I have been able to order some tires, tubes, and other consumables. But there is a lot I still cannot get. I ran out of helmets, and one of my suppliers which has a dozen warehouses across the country has zero in stock. When I say...

    ebike purchase

Super nice bike that meets all your parameters except light weight; the Homage is approximately 65 lbs. Not as high-spec'd as the R&M, the Trek Allant 7+ Lowstep come in at around 55 lbs. The biggest thing you would give up is the Gates carbon belt drive, which makes the Homage much more...

Help choosing first Ebike to be a delivery man

When you say courier, what kind of packages are you taking about; do you need big cargo capacity? You mentioned food; so food delivery, and not parcels? If the latter, I might suggest something like the Giant Dailytour series. One, because they use Yamaha drives, which are smooth and very...

Power Needed to ride like on a regular 17lb bike

I think you are asking what is the minimum power setting you could use to make a Creo feel like a 17 lb bike? I am sure someone with maths skills could do it, but it would vary according to your body weight and power output. Also, the power setting you would use would vary according to the terrain.

Priority Bicycles just launched the most affordable Gates belt mid-drive e-bike

It has that comfort bike look, which I hate. That means it will sell out. 🤣

Bad Bosch Warranty - Biker Beware

Many warranties only cover the part, not any labor. This is certainly true in the bicycle industry.

    The Parent Company

Parent company is likely not the correct term, but contractor.

    Rear motor removal fat bike

Need to know the size of the wheel (I assume 26"), the width of the hub (you can measure the inside distance between the dropouts, where the axle sits in the frame), and how many gears/cogs are in the back.

    Rear motor removal fat bike

Buy a new wheel and sell the old one.

Use screw hole in BB to help stabilize BBSHD Motor?

The hole is there to allow attaching a cable guide. It has nothing to do with letting water out.

Mid Drive shifting under throttle only

Yes you can. The prerequisite for shifting is that the chain is moving. Since the motor is driving the chain, the derailleur can shift.

So drill out the rims on your bike so they will accept Schrader valve tubes.

Seat tube 31.8mm dia. vs 31.6mm post dia.

Not to beat a dead horse, but this is asking for trouble. I see it all too often, people not using the correct part. There is no penalty for doing it right, but there potentially is you do it wrong. Just get the correct smaller diameter post and the appropriate shim.

Seat tube 31.8mm dia. vs 31.6mm post dia.

As a working professional, using the wrong size and just tightening up is a bad idea. In order to do what you suggest requires over-tightening the bolt or quick release with more torque than it is designed for.

Seat tube 31.8mm dia. vs 31.6mm post dia.

So you already have or bought a 31.6 seatpost? If not, buy the smaller 27.2 diameter size and use a thicker shim.

Why does it seem Vado owners are getting KINEKT 2.1 vs Redshift Seat Post ?

As I said, let's say he got a different bike in the future. He could likely still use the 27.2 post on the new bike, regardless of the new bike's actual size. If he got a Como and bought a 30.9 post, if the new bike used a smaller size, he'd have to buy another post.

Why does it seem Vado owners are getting KINEKT 2.1 vs Redshift Seat Post ?

Yes it varies, but you can always order the smallest diameter size and use shims to make up the difference. The advantage to that is if for some reason you got another bike, the 27.2 post (the size SL's use) would likely still work, whereas a larger diameter post (the regular Vado's and Como's...

    Trunk rack recommendations for ebike

It would seem so. For example, this is what Hollywood Racks says in their FAQ: Your Hollywood Racks weight limit per bike is 35 lb. on trunk racks, so is it okay to put two 50 lb. bikes on a three-bike rack (for example)? No, the weight limits are strictly assigned on a per bike basis. The...

    Trunk rack recommendations for ebike

The issue is that to my knowledge, no rack manufacturer sanctions their trunk mounted racks for use with e-bikes.

    Trek Powerfly 5 FS 2021

But the hidden structural member is a part of the fender, isn't it? Say I wanted the rack on the bike, but not the fender. If I can't do that, to me that is not good design. Also, the racks like the one shown on the R&M that I have also seen on some Treks, you cannot use a rack trunk...you're...
