    Bosch Performance CX died today

Perhaps dealers should petition Bosch for a spare battery or two... Bosch could make the cases in yellow and red zebra stripes and put LOANER on the side so no one would want to keep the battery long term. When a customer has a battery failure the customer uses the spare till the replacement...

    Bosch Ebike Battery Guide

ThomasK, I have worked with a company on Segway batteries for years. If you have a dead Bosch battery they would love to dissect it and see if it's worth repairing. It takes a little work to legally ship a large Li-Ion battery but they can get it done. I am in no way affiliated with this...

    Bosch Performance CX died today

JRA, Thanks, fat fingers and too early in the morning. BMS, BMW, S&M... Too many acronyms :) Have a great turkey day. jeff

    Bosch Performance CX died today

I have been dealing with Segway batteries for years. They work for years or they die and early death. It can be just one cell that failed, or the Battery System Module (BSM). Either way if I read the Bosch warranty correctly the Batteries are warrantied for 2 years. From Trek's Website...

    Bosch Performance CX died today

Well, that is awful news! I hope it is something simple. From what I've read they have to swap out the entire motor assembly if there is any problem inside the case. jeff

    Anyone else get a Cobi

I sent COBI four crash files from my iPhone and they replied that the next firmware update will fix the problems I'm having. The waiting begins again. Also I purchased a Bosch Nyon Upgrade Kit from Europe. It should arrive soon. A local bike shop posted a YouTube video of it "Just Working"...

    Bosch Nyon

The COBI is pretty much a non-starter. I was only able to get it to work twice. I have been in contact with their tech support and they say the next revision to the firmware with make it work with my bike. Just for grins I also purchased a Nyon upgrade kit from a company in Europe. There...

    Nyon help

Sorry for bringing up an old thread... When you installed your Nyon did you have to have a dealer reprogram anything or did it just work? jeff

Look of horror when I mention getting an eBike

I just don't have the strength to get up to the top of the hill where we live. I was in a wheelchair long after my motorcycle in 1981. In 2002 I started to use a Segway with a seat to get around, and just this month I finally got an e-bike! If you want people to roll their eyes at you... Try a...

Try Felt and Specialized. Any comment on Stromer...?

The Trek line of bicycles includes both Bosch and Shimano based drive systems. I just purchased a Trek xm700+ and I'm thrilled with the ease of use. If you have a local Trek dealer you should give this a look. jeff

    Trek xm700+ three month ownership

The Nyon (pronounced Neon) is very trick indeed. I would love to get it added to my bike but alas someone posted here that it's probably not coming to the USA anytime soon, I hope they are wrong. I did purchase a COBI which, if it worked, would have most if not all of the features for much...

    Anyone else get a Cobi

As you, I have been having problems with my COBI. I am hoping it is just a matter of being on the bleeding edge. I left support three messages and have not heard a single solution coming back. There have been a few "major" updates since I first installed the product, the tail light works now...

    Help upgrading to electronic shifiting.

The arthritis in my right thumb is just too severe to allow shifting using the Shimano Deore shift lever. I have found that they make electronic shifting that should be compatible with my bike. Here are the parts I am looking into. Has anyone else done this upgrade? SC-MT800, RD-M8050...

Anyone Else Get An Extra Decal?

In the box with my battery and such I received a circle decal with a bite taken out. It seems to match the cover on the left side of the motor. Do any of you know why they ship this extra decal? jeff

Feedback Wanted - Jacket for Legs

Great idea, but as a plump man that needs an xxl waist and only 30-32 inseam, seems like I would be out of luck. Perhaps they could be hemmed by a local seamstress. My step-dad owned a men's clothing stores, the number of sizes of blue-jeans he had to carry was just amazing. jeff
