My Electrical people… I need battery help

The link to the battery is broken in your post, but I was able to fish it out: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JWZCBG4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_X1ZXXRPM27F5298YH1Q3?th=1 While that link indicates you chose a 48V battery I wonder if they sent you a 36V? Except for the chooser section, all text on the...

The Big 3 and hub drives ?

A hub drive is an easier plane to fly but lacks natural engagement with the yolk and mechanical advantage of a mid-drive.

Small frame. No room for battery.

This is my wife's Trek I converted with a Bafang SWX02 250W hub motor. It's plenty of power for our moderate hills in Charlotte and gets about 15 miles a charge.

    Chain slap

It could be a problem with the chain. My neighbor had a new RadCity e-bike and had similar symptoms. The chain would get kinked and then come free with a little thunk. It was especially noticeable while pedaling at slow speeds. I had a spare 8-speed chain from a 9-speed upgrade. We replaced his...

    Looking for rear light suggestions

I have two 'Grateful Red' tail lights. One for each bike. Great light. Very visible. https://www.planetbike.com/grateful-red-usb-bike-tail-light/ You can get them at Amazon, bike shops, or buy direct. There are USB and AAA battery models available.

First EBike needed for work commute

The Magnum Ranger is a fat tire bike (4" wheels). That's a lot of tire for a long commute. The Magnum Cruiser would be a better commuter - though the battery is much smaller. https://www.magnumbikes.com/product/magnum-cruiser-ci5/

New motor: Made in Canada, 2022 Mid-drive system

A drivetrain that mimics the engagement of a geared hub motor without all the unsprung weight while gaining the mechanical advantage of mid-drive placement and lots of power. I can see the want. Even with a simple cadence PAS you have a winner.

    Rad Wagon Rebuild Project

Yes. That's a Bafang G020/SWX02 motor. I have two bikes with that motor. An Electra Townie and a Mongoose Envoy (shown) similar to the Rad Wagon. I assume your bike is a Radwagon 3? And would be compatible with a 135mm rear axle. According to the Radwagon 3 specs I found, the rims...

V brake ok on an ebike?

Or, the author meant that the replacement brake levers with kits are typically cable activated. Not hydraulic. Thus one would want to get hydraulic brakes with switches to match the kit.

V brake ok on an ebike?

You'll be fine with v-brakes. But I would upgrade the calipers and pads. I have an Electra Townie I converted to electric and it stops quickly and confidently. In wet conditions, I do regularly dry the brakes by lightly engaging, keeping them primed for a slow down or stop. I have...

    Ebikes "at work"

I have the clutch version of the Advent as well. Five thousand of those miles were using the MicroShift. The hub motor works well as we only have moderate hills in Charlotte, NC. Should I ever relocate to the nearby mountains, I would need to migrate to a mid-drive setup. I still use the...

    Ebikes "at work"

Cargo bikes rule. I ride my Mongoose Envoy most days. Some days for exercise and others to transport supplies and provisions. Over the past two years I’ve put nearly 6000 miles on the bike. This pic is from the fall where I was tuning my upgraded MicroShift Advent derailleur. I have the 11-42t...

    Seatpost size......

The seat post size is 27.2 x 350 mm. I also have a 2016 Townie 7d converted to electric except I used a rear hub. https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/electra-townie-conversion-with-kit-from-bluenergy.26457/ I bought a Suntour NCX for my Townie but would not recommend. The...

Pulling Core out of Juiced CCX hub motor

The clicking sound is typically from worn pedals, bottom bracket, or the motor cassette tower. I just replaced my bottom bracket on my Electric Electra Townie (uses the same motor as the CCX) and that solved the clicking. For help replacing the cassette tower, see this link...

Pulling Core out of Juiced CCX hub motor

I do the same thing but always remove the cassette with a removal tool before unscrewing the screws. The core will pull right out. Make sure not to lose the copper washer on the axle.

Loading 60+lbs ebike onto Hitch Mast Style rack arms using climbing rope and top tube adapter

That's a lot of weight for a top tube adapter. More than failure of the adapter is the chance the seat pops off the seat post.
