I have a L-train, gates belt, 7 speed igh , looking to install a mid motor with a 500 or 750w, I realize I need to upgrade to a cdx belt and sprocket , looking for suggestions to brand to use, prefer a PAS (old guy), currently I have a 52v17a batter to use.

I have a dj ebike basket case I recently obtained. The major problem with it is the rear hub wiring ,some of the wires at the axle are grounding out, looking to replace/repair loom. Does anyone know where to get it repaired or is it cheaper to replace it. It’s a 500w Bafang.

I was able to isolate the wire and using electrical tape to isolate it from the axle shaft, turn on the battery, display is functional but when I use the throttle a code 24 comes on, motor hall signal, indicating no connection between motor and controller, I guess that why I picked it up for $100,

The wiring loom goes thru the axle the exposed wire looks like it was do to rubbing at the slot opening in the axle, going to take the wheel off this morning and see if I can some how insulate the wire.

I don’t have a picture at this moment. One of the wires on the power code going into the rear hub has the insulation off causing it to short to the axle.

Update: I have been in contact with the mfg distributor , they are sending a derailleur and the drop hanger at a very reasonable cost. I really appreciate everyone’s help.

I’ll continue to call around, thanks for the advice. I bought this “basket case” for a hundred dollars and it seems that the battery is still good, I hate the thought of just discarding the project

Perhaps another way to go might be to find a donor bicycle ?

None of the local bike shops want to even look at it they want nothing to do with it. And the few that sell e-bikes will only look at what they sell.

Thanks, I bought this dj mountain ebike and it’s missing the rear derailleur and hanger. So I have no clue what shape it is, I have sent emails to dj bikes in Canada but he doesn’t seem to know what a derailleur hanger is.

Recently purchased a DJ mountain somewhat a basket case, it’s missing some components. Im in need of a derailleur drop hanger, as I understand there are unique to each frame. Could not fine any mfg name on the frame, any suggestions would be great.

I think that there is only one factory in China that makes e-bikes but many factories creating many different decals

I was able to translate the upc label on the rear hub, and google it and found out the size of the axle. 12mmx1.25, I really appreciate your input and help and going to order from eBay

I do appreciate both replies, since I brought this bike cheap and being retired I thought it would be a interesting project. The closest ebike shop is about forty miles from me, I was looking for suggestions of a parts source
